Waters awash with red
From warriors now dead
A lost cause they did fight
But a noble one nonetheless

Lands, treasure, family
This they did fight for
Whole families, young, old
All fought, none gave up

Surrender was not an option
To do so, be worse than death
So fought, long and hard they did
Till no one was left

So it is remembered
In legends everywhere
About the nation who was brave
Braver than all
