"The Omega Point is the point in time, when all of the devastation we have inflicted over the years to our life support systems finally becomes to much, and they irreversibly fail, no longer able to sustain Mankind. What this translates into for our future generations is an ever increasingly nightmarish slippery slope to extinction. The Omega Point for Mankind is 2014."
Dear Enhabitants of Earth,
Let us reintroduce awareness of the devastation, which we are inflicting on our beautiful planet. The over six billion people living on Earth are already far beyond its carrying capacity. We are now blatantly causing the extinction of more than 500 species each and every day, as well as countless other atrocities to all life sustaining ecosystems.
We are but a strand in the fabric of life, all intricately interdependent on one another. And yet here we are, in the mere geological blink of an eye, eroding the very foundation of our own existence by these mass species extinctions. This 6th great extinction period on Earth that we are insanely causing by the suicidal annihilation of the Web of Life will very soon bring about our own extinction.
In 1992, a majority of the living Nobel Laureates in the Sciences agreed and signed the document "World Scientists' Warning To Humanity" which said, " ...if we, Mankind, do not change from our destructive ways by 180 degrees right away, we will reach the Omega Point within 2 to 3 decades."
The Nobel Laureates are perhaps the most intellectually aware yet grounded, group of people we have on Earth, and they are saying that we are going to become extinct if we don't change our ways completely and change them right now. As Albert Einstein said, "We shall require a substantially new manner of thinking if Mankind is to survive."
We believe that as early as 1991, because of the cumulative shortsighted destruction egregiously caused by Mankind to all life ecosystems, humanity entered a gray zone where the Omega Point may be crossed for our species at any time. We can tell you with complete assurance we will pass the Omega Point somewhere very close to the year 2014.
The rainforests were originally home to 61.8% of all the species on Earth. That was 10,000 years ago, before our population started growing exponentially with the advent revolutionizing new food energy technology called agriculture.
In the year 2014 we go below the 10/50 Percent Safeguard Threshold Providence. This occurs when 10% of virgin rainforest area and 50% of rainforest species are all that remain from 10,000 years ago. The beautiful providence which nature safeguard is the diversity of life itself. If we level, slash and burn 90% of the virgin rainforest area, 50% of rainforest species will become extinct.
Somehow, in the last 10% of virgin rainforest, nature magically holds on to 50% of rainforest species, which is lucky for us if we realize it in time.
We have the beauty of this built-in natural threshold, as a barometer to tell us when the Omega Point for Mankind will occur. If we go below this 10%/50% safeguard threshold, we will become extinct. As of September 3, 1998, all that remains of the virgin rainforest area is 24.91% and 58.28% of rainforest species. The amount of virgin rainforest area that is being destroyed by humanity this year alone is equal to the land area of all the following States combined: Rhode Island, Delaware, Connecticut, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Hawaii, Maryland and South Carolina. Every 2 Minutes and 41 Seconds another rainforest species becomes extinct.
This bleak situation of breaking the 10% /50% Safeguard Threshold in 2014 gets even worse when you take into account the enormous momentum of our exterminating machine. It will take from 3 to 6 years just to stop it. This means that as early as the year 2008, less than 6 years from now, if we have not given up our primitive slaughtering predatory ways, well....
There is yet another factor which hastens that outcome by approximately one year, i.e., there is a difference between a virgin rainforest area which has never been touched by man, and one that was leveled a thousand years ago. If we were to take a walk from a virgin rainforest area to a rainforest leveled a thousand years ago and left alone since then, we would not easily recognize the difference between them. They look very much the same to the untrained eye.
Except, and this is one big exception, that we now have learned that in the rainforest leveled 1000 years ago, only about 17% of the original inhabiting species are found today. This means that 83% of the original biodiversity has not returned.
Nature takes her own time to heal and fully restore. It can take as little as one to two million years, providing there is a favorable geological environment for nature to rebalance and achieve full self-restoration.
Therefore, when we reach the point where only 10% of the remaining rainforest will not be virgin, it will have been touched by man at some time in the past, and will have many, many fewer species. For the 10% / 50% Safeguard Threshold to hold true, the Rainforest Area must be 100% Virgin. So we will actually reach 50% rainforest species remaining when there is about 11% of virgin rainforest area left.
This is why the projected 10% / 50% Safeguard Threshold Providence projected for 2014 will lose another year, minus the 3 to 6 years to put the brakes on and so we may be looking at the years 2007 to 2010 as the Omega Point.
This leaves us as little as 5 years to become aware, and realize, before it's too late, that nothing is more important than the issue of these extinctions. We are losing the full richness of nature's beauty. Each time we lose a species, we lose their invaluable genetic code. Their form-field in life space has vanished forever. The fabric of life is losing too many strands and is beginning to unravel. We cannot survive without this web of life, which supports us all.
What about the effects rainforests have on the oxygen carbon cycle, the hydrologic cycle and the electromagnetic cycle? And what about all of the drug compounds to help cure diseases that are found in the Rainforest? They are forever gone with every extinction of life. What do we do to stop future plagues, when in fact; it is we who are creating them by the very destruction of the rainforest in the first place? A Catch--22 to extinction if we let it be. We must immediately change our ways and become self-sustainable to leave a beautiful Earth for our future generations to flourish upon.
The Rainforest Biodiversity Scale of Destruction shows, in a way easy to understand, the exact scale of annihilation, which we humans are doing to the Rainforest. Over a 36-year span, it shows, year by year, what percentage of rainforest land area and what percentage of rainforest species remain. It also shows what percentages of species are becoming extinct per year and how many are becoming extinct per day. You will find it useful to help yourself and others toward understanding the transformation, which we so desperately need to stop this 6th great extinction. Please share it with as many people as possible.
This scale is based on the 25 million square kilometers of rainforest, which once covered our beautiful Earth, and the current rate of deforestation, 217,500 square kilometers per year. The numbers are computations from many sources, including satellite imagery, World Resources Institute and The United Nations. This scale also takes into account the supposition that if the current trends were to continue, we would peak at 250,00 square kilometers per year of destruction in the period from 2005 to 2010 and then would begin to fall, simply because not enough rainforest would remain to sustain such rates. As of now, there are 6.23 million square kilometers left, 21.89% of the original virgin rainforest area, with 56.08% of rainforest species remaining.
*Most scientists now believe that between 15 and 100 million species inhabited the Earth before the Human population started growing exponentially and destructively 10,000 years ago with the advent of agriculture.
*We use the Fibonacci Series and Golden Rectangle number 1.618 which is also found throughout nature and apply this to how many species there originally were per square kilometer. Then multiply it by the 25,000,000 square kilometers- the original size of the rainforest to arrive at 40,450,000 rainforest species.
*The rainforests were home to 61.8% of the original species, which Biodiversity and Web of Life found on Earth. This makes the total for all of the species originally on Earth 65,453,075.
We can only stop this end game by creating a unity of 1% of people who truly realize that we are about to become extinct.
"There is nothing more important for you to realize in your lifetime. We are about to become extinct as a species. What else matters.... and how dare we be so selfish as to ruin it all for our future generations."
When this 1% understand and believe, they become like a tuning fork, which resonates at a frequency that affects and bring awareness to the other 99%. This critical mass spontaneous combustion of awareness goes by quite a few different names. You may know it as Universal Consciousness, the 100th Monkey or the brilliant new science called Morphic Resonance. Whatever you want to call it, the phenomenon works. But we need to reach the masses to get through to at least 1% of the population with this knowledge and information.
And we need you to help reach them very, very quickly.
I know that to disseminate this urgent environmental message the most efficient way is through Talk Radio and the Internet. You have the perfect medium through you talk show, and I believe one of the best mediums available, to effectively create the awareness of the greatest number of people in the shortest amount of time. Your show and several other talk radio shows are the last avenue for free speech that the corporations do not yet control.
There is nothing more important for you to realize in your lifetime. We are about to become extinct as a species. What else matters...and how dare we be so selfish as to ruin it all for our children and future generations. This is why Project Planet Earth needs your support today. Only by working together can we put up the Project Planet Earth network to the masses and create the awareness to form the Unity of 1%. Contribute what you think is just, to preserve this loving sustainable Earth for our children, grandchildren and all of the future generations to follow. In the past year and a half I had a daughter and son, and it appears you had a son also who deserve a better place to live. We can both provide them with all the money they need, but this will not give them pure water to drink an clean air to breathe.
Nothing will stop us, for nothing is more important to do.
Project Planet Earth will lovingly create the awareness for sustainability in the 1% so the truth may resonate out to the other 99%.
Only then will the next generations have the same chance we had to flourish on Earth. Only then will the next generations have the chance to pass on a sustainable Earth to their future generations, so they in turn may flourish forever in harmony.
I am confused why the entire planet is worried about terrorism when it fails to compare to the real issue. It is time for all responsible humans to come to the aid of our future. Most of the TV and Radio Talk Shows have not and will not address this pressing issue of saving our planet. Our water is despicable, our air is almost not breathable and we are worried about some fool with terror in his heart, when the real terror is all of us reeking havoc on the planet, which we live.
It is time for each and every one of us to do one little thing to save the planet for future generations, care. What a simple idea, all we have to do is care about our selves and we will automatically care about everyone around us.
The journey has begun to which we know not the end. I need your help to reach only 1% of our fellow humans.
