This book lists and explains different magical plants.
Mayran
- This plant was first discovered in Egypt around 2000 b.c. Although it's abundent near the Nile, the Egyptian Ministry of Magic has kept it out of Muggle hands. The early Egyptian's used this in a potion for curing scorpion stings and cobra bites. What they didn't know was that, if eaten raw, the consumer gains enhanced strength.
Amazonian Venus
- First discovered around around 100 a.c., Amazonian creatures distanced themselves from the Venus due to it's carnivorous ways. Standing four feet high, the Amazonian Venus uses reflexes like that of a snake to strike out at opponents. The bright orange plant's appetite mainly consists of small animals, such as snakes, rats, and salamanders.
Rednook
- This small plant was discovered in Redbark, a small wizarding town in Canada. There aren't any apparant magical abilities about this plant, but it has many. Rednook can be lit with a flame and won't burn. Hundreds of years ago, French wizards used this as a form of a torch. It was a lot more controllable than fire on normal wood. This can also be used in a potion that lets the consumer walk through both magical fire and normal.
Siberian krac
- This is a snow-dwelling plant that gives the consumer the power to release blasts of ice from his/her mouth, known as ice breath. It cannot be consumed by mammals, though, and if done, will result in pneumonia. But the plant can be boiled and used as a pneumonia healing potion. This plant is famous for being eaten by the ice lizards, icerai.
Debadash
- This plant, although very similar to krac, is not as powerful. Located in Antarctica and Greenland, it is eaten by icerai, to whom it gives the power of ice breath. The unique thing about debadash is that it can be eaten by mammals. The result is that mammals can last out in the cold for longer.
Uunafin
- Located in the Canadian Rockies, the uunafin is one of the sister plants. Like its sister plant, the uunafin resembles a sunflower, except it has purple petals. Known as "the greenhouse flute," it plays beautiful music. It has been used by the Weird Sisters and the Raining Rendalta.
Uunatin
- Located in the Canadian Rockies with the uunafin plant, the uunatin closely resembles a sunflower, but it glows in the presence of a lot of people. It sends a telepathis song into one's head that its said to "remove your soul upon hearing." It was rumored to have been owned by the dark English wizard, Lord Voldemort.
Veecko
- Located in southern parts of South America, the small, pink plant emits a sleeping gas. Brazilian natives use its petals in a sleeping potion and its stem for a fishing rod.
Jacuath
- Peruvian plants that sound and look like they are crying. Actually, they are pulling water up from the ground, which makes them sound like they are whining.
Relatick
- Reaching hights of over eighty feet high, this American plant is nicknamed "Ol' Redwood" for its height. This plant also has the ability to shine light from its petals like a flashlight.
Banadar
- A canary-colored plant located in Argentina that has petals used in healing potions, and its nectar can heal burns.
Mindarind
- This plant is located in Quebec in thick forests. This ebony plant grows up trees like a vine and pulls nutrients from them. It is nicknamed "le vigne de leech" or "the leech vine."
Linisk - Located in the snows of central Antarctica, this plant has the strange ability to teleport living creatures from one place to another. It was discovered by Jacklyn Pierce in 1982.
Lilydove - This cream-colored flower is located near the Meditteranean Sea. It has the strange ability to light up during a full moon.
Liftiz - A largely populated plant that has the ability to release extremely fertile pollen onto the ground around it, which makes the plant duplicate swiftly, but the duplicates lose a small amount of pollen and the spreading eventually stops.
Nellzed
- This Arabian plant lives in desert-like terrains and has a strong withstanding power of heat. The plant, itself, can store and replicate large amounts of water, which makes it an invaluable asset to travelers. However, making contact with this plant often proves to be a painful experience. The prickly thorns that cover it are sharp enough to swiftly pierce through ones skin.
Skizlip
- Located in the Northern UK, this flame-colored plant contains a liquid at the center of it's domed petals that has been proven to prevent wrinkles and gray hair. It protects itself with vines sporting electric spheres at the end.
Wurzello
- Located in Alaska and Northern Canada, Wurzello plants look like small yellow bushes, but their roots extend to up to 28 feet into the ground. These roots, over time, freeze and densify the ground below so that no other plant can survive besides another Wurzello.
