It is said the Radagast was wiser then any man in things conserning nature. He was skilled in the ways of healing, using plants and herbs. The Beornings, the Woodmen of Mirkwood and even the Ents of Fangorn spoke with reverence of the great wisdom of Radagast. He had little interaction in the chronicles of time, for he was more concerned with plants and animals then the wars of elves and men. Radagast was skilled in the languages of all beasts and animals. If he had not instructed the great lord of the Eagles, Gwaihir, to fly to Isengard with messages, Gandalf would have remained trapped on the tower and would not have been able to assist the Ringbearer with his quest.
