UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Arrold Wiseminster

Arrold Wiseminster is the head of the Council of the Wise, he became the head (or watcher) at the death of the last watcher, 23 years ago. One of the youngest watcher the council ever had, he is the apprentice of an apprentice of a long line of apprentices dating back to Calagora himself. Arrold has spent his whole life in the service of the council, becoming an apprentice at the age of nine. He is considered the foremost expert in the knowledge of demonology, ancient magic, and the Dark Lord.

Arrold Wiseminster is a middle-aged man about 45 years of age. He is human about 6 ft. tall with brown neatly cut hair and green eyes. He is usually dress professionally in the attire of a sage or scholar. He acts in a manner some might call stuffy, but it seems to fit him and by no means gives the impression that he is better than anyone else. He speaks common but always in a proper manor of Armania, never using slang. He seems fascinated by any chance to learn or study and always willing to explain something, but usually needs to be asked. This may be because he seems to think everyone knows what he knows and forgets that he is very knowledgeable in many subjects.

Arold was never married and has never had children, Although he has been in love, with an educated woman of Boreamorr, his commitment to the council has left him little time for a personal life.

Arrold was raised in an orphanage in Boreamorr after the death of his parents when he was 5. He spent many hours in the library, much to the disapproval of the orphanage. His extrodinary talent was recognized by a council member and the orphanage willingly apprenticed Arrold to the council. Arrold quickly adapted to his new profession and soon became the apprentice to the watcher.

Darathum (Dart)

Dart was born in Boreamorr and given the name Darathum by his mother, a prostitute working in one of the many brothels in the city. Who his father is, is not known. When his mother became pregnant the madam told her she would get a non-conception spell for her so she could keep working. Darts mother refused so the madam turned her out into the street. She survived in the streets and gave birth to Dart in a dirty alley on a rainy summer night. After the signs of her pregnancy had gone, Dart’s mother returned to work at a brothel. Dart lived with his mother at the brothel for four years. Then, Dart’s mother was murdered on the streets. Since she was a prostitute the authorities showed little concern and the murder was never solved.

After his mothers death the madam sent Dart to a work house. At the age of 8 Dart ran away from the horrid conditions of the work house. He survived on the streets like many waifs do, by petty theft. Dart was befriended by a young con artist and thief named Baise. Baise taught Dart the finer skills of thievery.

Dart is a human male around ten years of age. He is 4’3” tall with unkempt brown hair and green eyes. He is slim but not severely malnourished (weighing about 65 lbs.). His lot in life does not discourage him. Dart seems happy most of the time. He is a boy who likes to have fun, always looking for an adventure. Perhaps this is why he likes ‘snatching’ as he calls it. His thefts are petty, amounting to enough to keep him alive. Usually snatching food from venders, and occasionally a purse from some unwary traveler. The authorities recognize him as a thief but have never nabbed him, so he has no criminal record. Dart, like most in the shady arts, knows the undercity to some degree. He uses the undercity as refuge, shelter, and a way of traveling unseen. He knows the sewers well but only briefly ventures into other parts of this place. He knows the undercity is dangerous, that’s why he sticks mainly to the sewers.

Rath

Rath was an adventure. On one of his adventures the party was set upon by wererats. The party killed the attackers receiving only minor injuries, however, Rath was bitten. For 5 years Rath lived as a wererat, then he encountered a young woman gathering herbs. Rath set upon her and bit her afflicting her with his disease. This young woman was the daughter of a sourcerer. This sorcerer believed the wererat who attacked his daughter to be a minion of a demon. In revenge the sorcerer traced down Rath. But instead of killing him, the sorcerer enslaved Rath. Cursing him to seek knowledge for the sorcerer that would help him destroy demons. The sorcerer died a few years later, but instead of freeing Rath from his curse the magic mutated. Rath is now LN and tied the cause of fighting demons.

Initially following the sorcerer's death Rath was distraught, Obsessed with anything having to do with demons. Rath fought this obsession, torn between wanting the “freedom” of his evil ways and the need to fight demons. Drawn to a village, unknown to Rath because of a summoning of a demon, Rath witnessed the demons coming. He witnessed the demons cruelty in killing anything living, including women and children. This caused Rath to embrace his curse. Rath has lived in Boreamorr for almost 4 years now. Rath is very knowledgably of the Undercity, the wharf district, and the mission district of Boreamorr.
