The City of Boreamorr
Kingdom of Armania
Population: 24,000

The Lord of Boreamorr:
For almost 1500 years the line of succession has been unbroken in Boreamorr. Lord Crowell can trace his lineage directly back to Lord Arengard who was originally granted Boreamorr and its lands by the King of Armania, following the defeat of the Uranian Empire.
The King is married to Lady Andrisien. They have four children. Lady Irweyn, 17 years old and oldest of the children. The Lord's heir is Master Canaidgon. He is 15 years old. The youngest male, Master Astlovius, is 12. The youngest child is Inegwyn she is 8 years old.

The City:
A large walled coastal city located at the eastern tip of Boreamorr Bay. Boreamorr is an important city, located at a crossroads for trade, it is the second largest city in Armania. Boreamorr boasts the second largest fleet in Armainia, both a military and merchant fleet. Additionally it has the most productive shipyard, rivaling Kingsburgh both in quality and in quantity. This is partially due to better access to timber for building. Boreamorr is not only a major commerce asset to Armania but also a major military asset. Strategically located, troops are able to respond quickly too much of the northern reaches of the kingdom. Between the military shipyards, military fleet, and military barracks, the military is the largest single employer of Boreamorr. Boreamorr residences are heavily taxed in order to support the large military presence in its city, but unlike many cities of Armania much of the tax money remains in the local economy. As a whole Boreamorr’s population is loyal to the King.

The Undercity:
Beneath the city is a maze of basements, tunnels, sewers, and caves create a second city below the buildings. Although this exists in most large cities, none rivals the complexity of Boreamorr’s Undercity. Thieves’ guild, dark mages, demons and vile creatures use this undercity to hide their actions from the light of day and the eyes of the authorities. The authorities are aware of the undercity and the Shelleth demon queen who rulles there, but have not been able to shut it down and have now all but stopped trying.
There is a powerful thieves guild within the city, know as the Guild of the Hand. This thieves guild is part of the reason Shelleth the Demon Queen has been able to remain undisturbed within the undercity. Although the thieves’ guild does not support the Queen, in fact it is opposed to her, they do staunchly protect the undercity.

On November 12, in the year of our King, 1226 the army of Shelleth arose from the undercity and attacked the good people of Boreamorr. The fate of this great city is now threatened.

The Fate of Boreamorr.

Day 1:
The armies of orcs, goblinoids, undead, and some humans rose from the undercity during the night. The city was taken by surprise and the armies of the Demon Queen were able to make headway in gaining a hold on the city-proper. Large fires started near the Merchant Gate to the southwest and the Admirals Gate to the northwest. A third smaller fire started near the Courts Tower in the northern part of the city. Citizens, city guards, and the Kings military quickly mobilized to counter the attack. Battles were fierce and raged until daylight. By late morning the fighting had subsided. Armies of the Demon Queen now held parts of the city including a large area in the southwestern corner and in the northeastern corner. Armies in the northwestern section had been forced back and the royal quarters were unaffected. Much of the rest of the city was in disarray and panic. During this lull some fires were contained within the city. Small battles continued to erupt throughout the day. In late afternoon the armies of the Demon Queen made a second major push and battles raged on again.

Day 2:
Throughout the night fighting was heavy and some advances were made by the armies of the city. At times during the night it looked like the armies of the city might retake the northeast part of the city. But these advances proved futile, by morning the entire city-proper was in the control of Shelleth’s armies. Much of the Kings military and city guards had retreated to the isolated royal quarters. This independently walled section had not fallen to the dark armies but was now besieged. There was little fighting during the day. Armies of the Demon Queen fortified their positions and increased their hold on the city-proper. About 60 percent of the merchant fleet within the harbor was able to escape, the rest were now in control of Shelleth. None of the military fleet attempted to escape but stayed to defend the city. This fleet too is now besieged, but manned for battle.

Day 3
Captured merchant ships were used to assault the military fleet of the city. The superior skill and training of the military fleet easily repelled the untrained seamen (creatures) of Shelleth’s army. A small portion of the military fleet that was moored outside the harbor was ordered to sail to obtain reinforcements to mount a counter assault on the embattled city. Soome resistance was seen in the city proper as the armies of Shelleth began to enslave the city residence.

Day 4
Little fighting occurred during the day. A major project was initiated by minions of the Demon Queen and now enslaved city residence. Located near the center of Boreamorr by a section of the ancient wall.

Day 5
During the night minions of the Demon Queen entered the Royal Quarters through an unknown section of the undercity and attacked city forces near the western edge of the royal quarters. The Admirals gate was breached and fighting began anew within the Royal Quarters. By the end of this day much of the Royal Quarters were under the control of the armies of Shelleth. Some city forces still remained to the western edge of the Royal Quarters with the military fleet to their backs. The Lord’s Keep had not yet fallen but the fate of Boreamorr was now sealed.

Day 6
The City of Boreamorr has fallen. Royal troops of Armania march toward Boreamorr to defend the kingdom and hope to free the city, but other evil armies are moving in Armania. A new shadow has spread across the land and a Dark Queen is now the enemy of good. Armania is at war. Lord Crowell and his family have been taken prisoner by the dark armies and are held in the dungeons of the Lord’s Keep.

The citizens of Boreamorr have been imprisoned within the city. Huge armies of orcs and other minions of the Demon Queen patrol the city wall and gates. No one is allowed to leave or enter. Residences of the city are expected to continue daily life in a routine much like before the invasion. Citizens with skills useful to the demon queen, such as butchers, cooks, bakers, smiths, and others, are ordered to continue to work and supply there goods for the minions of Shelleth. Any citizen may be rounded up by occupying forces and forced into whatever service is needed by the Queen or her minions. But the city is large and there is no census of the population. Shelleth has know way of knowing who or what all the citizens are, so many have remained undetected by her army. There is resistance within the city, most passive but some active. There are rumors of underground gorilla movements within the city. Some have been brutally squelched but some survive.

Day 14
Lord Crowell, his family and heirs have been publicly executed. The succession of Boreamorr, which has been unbroken for 1500 years, has been severed.
