When she gets angry though, she will lecture even kings if she feels that they have overstepped their bounds. Hwesta is very protective of Lossė, feeling that if her friend won't stand up for herself she'll just have to do the job for her.
Personal History: Born the second child of Voronwe and Fanasślė of the Grey Havens, Elfetawen was brought up in all of the traditions of her house, including sailing. Her older brother, Calsślė, was also brought up in these traditions. When Lossė was nine years old the egg that her mother had been pledged to care for hatched. The baby dragon, Hwesta, and Lossė became best friends, closer even than sisters. When Elfetawen was sixty years old, her brother, who was three hundred forty five, left on a journey to Imladris. He never made it. Another elf, coming upon the dying Calsślė, promised to bring word to his family of the orcs that had attacked him on the road.
When Elfetawen was two hundred years old she too decided to wander the land, see new places, and meet new people. Her mother was against this since she had lost one child already not that long ago. Lossė stayed home for another twenty years but wanted to see the rest of the world so badly that her parents finally let her go.
Three years after leaving home she rode into Imladris in the company of a tall, red haired elf lord named Aerusco. The two had grown quite fond of each other in their travels together and many believed that they might marry. Thirty years later however, Lossė had an argument with her uncle, Elrond Halfelven, that sent her out into the world, not to set eye on, or foot in, the home of her uncle for the next five hundred years. In that time she traveled to distant lands and even distant worlds in the company of Hwesta and, occasionally, one or two other companions.
Almost five centuries had passed when Lossė was called to help with a quest. Those who would journey on this quest were to meet in Imladris to ask council of Elrond Halfelven, the uncle of Elfetawen whom she had been purposely avoiding for the last few centuries. The night before the council she saw and talked to Aerusco. He had stayed when she had left and he had seen more of Elrond in that time. With that knowledge Aerusco managed to soothe Lossė's fears and convince her to talk things over with her uncle before she left. She was surprised when she did for Elrond applologised to her! Never in a millenium would she have thought that would happen!
When the quest had run its course Lossė returned to Imladris to heal, and to get used to the new powers that she had gained. She talked with Aerusco, her first love, and knew that it would be for the last time. Dark powers were rising in the east and the time of the elves was ending. Many elves were already leaving Middle Earth from the Grey Havens and Lossė learned that her parents had already left. Aerusco had only stayed to say goodbye and he would leave with Elrond when the time came. Lossė then traveled to Lothlorien to help in the defense of the Golden Wood when the orcish hordes attacked. Even when the fighting was over she stayed away from Imladris, until she heard of the coming departure of Galadriel and the elves of Lothlorien and knew that Elrond and his folk would be joining them. Still she did not rush to say her last goodbyes; those had been said before the war and it would only bring more pain to speak them again.
The mist off the river was rising in the moonlight when Lossė and Hwesta reached the eastern rim of Imladris Vale. The elves could be seen across the way, riding west, riding away from their old home. Lossė watched as the last elves dissapeared behind the ridge, the last one turning on his horse to gaze across the valley at the elfess and dragon then raising his hand in a final farewell and turning again to follow the rest. "Fare you well my love," Lossė whispered, then turned away and mounted up on Hwesta and the two flew away into the wilderness.
It was many years before Lossė started traveling again for she did not want to tear open old memories. But soon the love of Middle Earth that had kept her from crossing the sea drew her out again and she and Hwesta began their travels anew, finding new friends in old places, building a new life in a new world.
Next is a description of the dwelling of Lady Lossefalme, Watcher of the Uireloke.
Tol Uirelokė
From the Ered Luin came the dragon. A dark gold dragon she was, seeking peace from the incessant blundering of idiotic knights who believed that they were doing the world a favor by trying to eradicate her and her kind. All of her kindred had left or been killed, she was the last of the Ered Luin dragons. South she flew, for she had heard of an island where dwelled the Lady Lossėfalme, Watcher of the Uirelokė and Friend of the Krysalpiren dragon Hwesta.
Past the Gulf of Lune and the Grey Havens, past forest and mountain and river. The Baranduin and Gwathlo fell away behind along with the Isen, and the Ered Nimrais Mountains. Over Gondor and Lebennin she flew and still southward, over Harad and into the unnamed lands, staying over the coastline. Many days passed on her journey but she did not stop. She wouldn't stop until she reached the Island of Dragons, Tol Uirelokė.
Then she saw the landmark that she had been told to watch for. A line of obsidian pillars marched into the sea in a straight line to the west. Lining up her flight path with the spine-like formation she flew out over the ocean into a blueness of sea and sky that seemed to go on unbroken forever. Ever so slowly a shape began to appear on the horizon. It grew larger and larger. And green! It was the island that she had been looking for!
Even closer and she saw cliffs rising from the crashing waves, cliffs that rose to green covered mountains. What a paradise this was! The dragon could see birds flitting from tree to tree and bright flowers that seemed to glow in the shadows. Red and yellow and blue and orange and purple, every color imaginable and beyond for as far as she could see.
Passing over an exceptionally large mountain, the dragon saw a huge bay in front of her. The arms of the island curved around to embrace the waters in which cavorted dolphins and sea dragons. Directly underneath her the dragon saw a huge waterfall go plummeting over the side of the cliffs to crash upon the surface of the water below. She looked ahead towards the place where the arms of the island came together to form a channel to the outer ocean and there it was! The abode of the Lady Lossėfalme!
Situated on the southern arm the palace spiraled up the fifty-foot cliff face from the bay and rose a hundred feet above the level of the land. It was constructed of white marble and the spires were roofed in mother of pearl. There were large landing areas for visiting dragons and a white sand beach at the base of the cliff that curved around a third of the bay.
The dragon landed on one of the platforms and proceeded down a dragon-sized hallway that curved around itself in slowly rising spirals. There were murals on the walls that had been done in jewel tone paints. Looking closer she saw that the paints had been made from dragon scales and used with such detail that she could look at one piece of the mural for days and still find new things. So absorbed in the murals was the dragon that she didn't notice she was nearing a room until she stepped out into it.
Looking up in surprise the dragon stopped in her tracks. There was a sound of falling water coming from all around her and she gasped as she saw that the walls were all covered with sheets of crystal clear water that reflected the sunlight coming from the open sky above. Then she heard a bell-like laugh coming from ahead of her. The dragon peered in that direction and saw a tall seat that was reached by a flight o stairs. Coming closer she saw that there was a person on the throne. Could it be the one that she had come to see?
Suddenly a shadow blocked out the sunlight from above and a dragon with two pairs of wings sank to the opalescent floor. It was the Krysalpiren that was said to be friends with the Lady! Summoning up her courage, the dragon spoke to the two beings in front of her.
"My Lady," she said. "I have journeyed far these last few days to ask your permission to abide on this lovely isle. All of those that I know in my homeland have fled or been killed by human knights and I could not stand the loneliness any longer."
"Of course you can stay here my dear." Elfetawen said. "That is what I built this place for you know! But come. The sun is setting and I must light the lanterns."
With that Elfetawen climbed onto Hwesta's back and the two dragons flew up to the top of the palace and landed on a large platform. The elfess slid from Hwesta's back and walked to the outer edge of the platform and looked out across the bay. Cupping her hands together in front of her she whispered ********RING ACTION******** and an amber ring on her left hand began to glow. Closing her eyes she concentrated and a large, sparking ball of purple flame coalesced in her hands. She then threw the flame into the air and shouted "Thon i calma! (Kindle the lamps!)" and the ball of flame split and streaked in hundreds of different directions which each came to rest in special vessels all over the island.
********END RING ACTION******** the elfess said. Then she turned to the two dragons and said, "Now let us find some food and talk about your journey my new friend, for I would hear of the world and it's changes." And the three of them proceeded to do just that.

Character Name: Ani (pronounced awe-nee) Darksilver

In her elven form she is 5'3", 100 lbs, with dark auburn hair that seems purple in the sun, and purple-black eyes that turn silver when angrey or passionate (not just love! also anger, joy, and other strong feelings). In her dragon form her body is black with muzzle, paws, tail, and wing-shafts brightening gradually to purple, her eyes are a swirl of black and silver, she weighs 55 lbs and is twelve feet long. History: When Ani was 20 there was a riot in the city that she lived in. The rioters spread throughout the city, breaking into homes and shops, vandalizing private and public property, and maiming and killing innocent bystanders. When the riot reached her parent's neighborhood they sent Ani down to the basement so she would be safe. Four hours later when she crept up the stairs she found both of her parents lying, dead, on the floor. Many hours passed before she came to herself. With tears running down her face, Ani went through the house, collecting money and valubles. Stuffing her school bag with the items, as well as food and clothing she found the lamp oil. Taking the oil she poured it throughout the house and left, leaving the front door open. Out in the street, Ani turned back to look at her home one last time. Then took out a box of matches. Striking one she put it in the box and tossed the box back into the house. Turning away, she walked down the road, never looking back at the burning building, the shattered wreck of her childhood.
Since then Ani has moved from place to place, never staying long. She knows that she's different from others and so she tends to keep to the shadows. Her past has given her a distrust of others and she rarely stays anywhere long enough to make friends anyway. She will do odd jobs for people if they either pay her or feed her. She did stay in one city long enough to study under a skilled weapons master and from him she learned to use the staff that hangs at her side but she left soon after, not wanting to form any attachments that would make it difficult for her to leave.
