January 2006 First Council Meeting Minutes

1. Ummagine Stamp
The guild has an Ummagine Stamp. There is an offer from someone outside the
guild to purchase it. It was agreed to offer the Stamp to the guild members, and
if no one wants the stamp, then it would be sold to a non member.
2. Furniture Shop NP donations
The furniture shop will be added to the Donation Shop’s list of supported shops.
This will take place February 1.
3. Shop Trades
Donation Trades:
The council is going to hold off on allowing donation trades with members at
this time. Currently, the ONLY trade a shop can make is with the donation shop.
Even if no neopoints are involved, shops cannot make donation trades with
members.
Avatar Items & Battle Items:
We are easing back into the trades, so our first step will be to resume loaning
the Avatar Items and Battle Items. These loaning activities will take place
through the trades. If collateral is required, then items are preferable to
neopoints, however either will be accepted. These types of trades are only
necessary in the Battle, Card and cute_chic4eva accounts.
4. New battledome item
The council agreed to purchase a Frozen Wand of Crystals from a member that
would like to sell it to the Battle Shop at a reduced amount.
5. Gallery Spotlight
The Gallery Spotlight has been caught up and will resume once again under the
supervision of mrsmou. Beginning in January, this activity will occur every two
weeks.

Guild Open Positions
Baguette Gazette Editor in Chief
We are also taking applications for Editor in Chief of the Baguette Gazette. Applicants should be on solid ground with HTML and able to figure out unfamilliar code already in place. Good English and grammar is a must. As the Gazette publishes quarterly, an hour or two a day should be enough to cover all the duties. Applicants should be ranked Librarian or above.
Duties include:
Responding to applications. Answering questions. Coming up with ideas in a pinch, ACTIVELY seeking out new writers. Assigning deadlines. Organizing staff (via website & email). Checking up on progress of assignments. Filling in gaps when necessary. Gramatical editing and re-writing. HTML editing. HTML coding.

Assistant Monitor Applications
There are assistant monitor positions available. Applicants should be of librarian rank or higher in the guild and should be able to work at least two shifts every week. Applicants should be calm, articulate, aware of the guild rules and of how the message board works.
Please send in a little about yourself and what hours you would like to work. Flexibility is a bonus for those odd occasions when real life interferes with someones duty.

Newspaper Staff Applications
The newspaper is currently looking for additional staff writers and content editors. The paper is also interested in finding individuals with html experience to help with the layout and publishing of the paper.

We have decided to begin accepting applications on an ongoing basis rather than just when a position is open. Click here for more information and to apply.
Assistant Webmaster
We are interested in adding at least one and possibly more than one webmaster assistant. Individuals ranked Librarian or higher with html experience should send applications and inquiries to the webmaster.

Guild Banner with Neocircle:
To add the guild banner with the neocircle code to your shop for the first time,
follow these steps
**Before beginning this process, you should have joined the neocirlce.
If you have not yet joined the neocircle, click here to learn
how.
1. Copy the code below.
2. Click here to lookup
our neocircle.
3. Enter 243791 into the ID box and click "go"
4. Find your user name in the list and write down the number next to your user name.
5. Paste the code you copied into your shop description.
6. In the new code, find both instances of "thissite=xx" and replace the xx with the
number you wrote down.
7. Click shop update to save your changes.
8. Click shop front to see your new banner.
9. The result should look like the banner above.
To update the guild banner and neocircle code in your shop description,
follow these steps
1. Copy the code below.
2. In your shop description, find the code for the guild neocircle and/or guild banner (the guild
banner and neocircle usually begin <table width=400...)
3. Find the first instance of "thissite=".
4. If the number following "thissite=" is 6, skip to step A.
5. If not, write down the number that follows "thissite=".
6. Now, select all the code for the guild banner/neocircle and delete it.
7. Paste the code you copied from the website into your shop description.
8. In the new code, find both instances of "thissite=xx" and replace the xx with the
number you wrote down.
9. Click shop update to save your changes.
10.Click shop front to see your new banner.
A. If "thissite=" said 6 you will need to find out what your correct site number should
be.
B. Click here to lookup
our neocircle.
C. Enter 243791 into the ID box and click "go"
D. Find your user name in the list and write down the number next to your user name.
E. Return to step 6.
