The Life and Times of RkellyT, the Red Nimmo
A True Story
Born on a cold evening in February 2004, RkellyT joined the world of Neopia
right around Valentine’s Day. This very special Nimmo is named after the
lead singer of Matchbox Twenty (and current successful solo artist), Robert
Kelly Thomas, who was born on Valentine’s Day, 1972. Because a majority
of Mr. Thomas’s songs are so sweet and romantic, and it’s very fitting
he was born on Valentine’s Day, RkellyT’s color is, and will always
remain, red, the color of romance and love.
RkellyT has a Buzzer for a petpet. Many might feel this is a relatively odd
pairing, but to RkellyT, his pet is perfect. His buzzer’s name is HoneyBeeBe,
taken directly from a song written by Rob Thomas called “Disease.”
The specific lyric is as follows: “You taste like honey; Honey, tell me
can I be your HoneyBee? Be strong…”.
We’ve recently adopted (while that may not be exactly the correct word)
a Lady Blurg for HoneyBeeBe, as well. The story behind our Lady Blurg is a sad,
but sweet one. I lost someone very close to me and it hurts everyday. She loved
lady bugs. I adopted the Lady Blurg in honor of her. Now every part of RkellyT
is special to me!
Since his birth, RKT has taken part in many events around Neopia. His favorite
games to play include Spell or Starve, Word Poker, the new Typing Terror game,
Ultimate Bullseye, and Turmac Roll. He loves underwater fishing, although his
fishing skill isn’t very high (which is odd, since he IS a Nimmo). He
and his brothers love visiting Roo Island where he always chooses to ride on
the Merry-go-Round. He enjoys searching around Geraptiku and recently found
a Lizark petpet from the Lost City for his brother, GaynorAcara (who is, interestingly
enough, a Moehog).
RkellyT is vegetarian and is an avid reader and usually enjoys coffee or tea
with his current book. He loves the cool, smooth tunes of Jazzmosis, the easy
listening sounds of the Neopian Philharmonic, and (on occasion), rocking with
Sticks and Stones. His bedroom is decorated totally in Zen including Zen table,
bed, rug, drawers, and mirror. His room is perfect for his daily meditations.
RkellyT is one special Nimmo and one I’m proud to call my own.
