Whole Wheat Snickerdoodles

1 1/2 cups sugar plus 2 tablespoons sugar (divided)
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons cinnamon
4 ounces butterscotch chips, melted with a few tablespoons cream to drizzling consistency

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
In a large mixing bowl, beat 1 1/2 cups sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
Add vanilla and eggs.
Blend well.
Add all-purpose flour and whole wheat flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.
Mix well.
In a small bowl, mix together 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon.
Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Roll balls in cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake 8-10 minutes or until set.
Immediately remove to racks to cool.
Drizzle with melted butterscotch chips.
