Cream butter and sugar together.
Add Vanilla.
Beat in flour, salt and oats.
Divide in half and shape into logs approximately 1 inch in diameter.
Roll in shot and chill.
Cut into 1/4 inch slices and bake on a greased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 7 to 10 minutes.
