RB High's Orchestra Conductor

Mr. Horimoto received his Bachelor of Music Degree at California State University Long Beach. He is also in the process of getting his masters in conducting at California State University Long Beach.
Mr. Horimoto has taught music at several schools including Santa Monica High School, California State University Fullerton, Rancho Bernardo High School, and Poway High School. He has conducted the All Southern California Junior High School Honor Orchestra and has been manager of the All State Honor Band, All Southern California High School Honor Band and Orchestra and the CMEA All State Honor Band. He has been the guest conductor for the Santa Ana District Honor Orchestra, All Southern California Junior High School Honor Orchestra, Bakersfield All District Honor Orchestra and the San Diego City All District Junior High School Honor Orchestra, Washoe District Honor Orchestra (Nevada), Capistrano District Honor Orchestra, Saddleback Valley District Honor Orchestra and the Kern County All District High School Honor Orchestra. As a performer, Mr. Horimoto has played in the Long Beach Symphony, American Youth Symphony, Beverly Hills Doctors Symphony, and the Japanese Philharmonic, Wind Symphony California State University Long Beach and the Brass Ensemble at California State University Long Beach. Mr. Horimoto has performed under conductors, Frederic Fennell, Norman Dello Joio, Mehli Mehta, Zubin Mehta, Neville Mariner, Robert Reynolds and Jeff Reynolds.
This multi-talented individual sets high standards and expectations for his students. His rapport with his students and his understanding of their needs makes for a winning combination of an exceptional educator.
