How much are assignments worth?

The ideal assignment will get 30 points, but I almost never give out a 30.  The average grade given out is a 15.

How does the exam work?

The exam will be either in May. The lessons and assignments will be up until two weeks before the exam. You are more than welcome to save these lessons to your local disk. The exam itself is open lesson, but you are responsible for providing the lesson yourself.

How do grades work?  Who passes, and who fails?

In order to pass the class, you need 30 points total, and at least 10 on the final.

The final exam is worth 30 points, so it is possible to not do any of the lessons, and still pass the class.  However, if you miss one question on the exam, you won't pass, so you're highly encouraged to do at least one homework assignment to earn some extra points.

Also, keep in mind that you need to plan on doing the exam, because you need at least a 10 in order to pass the class.  This is to ensure that everyone takes it.

Is there a place I can discuss the class with you or other members?

Yes!  We have a new Class Forum, where you can discuss the class or ask questions about it.  You are encouraged to ask questions and discuss the class!

Where did you get the information for your lessons? Is it "canon"?

The information comes mainly from The Harry Potter Lexicon, a collaboration of information from the books and interviews.
