VI.       Old Business

            None.

VII.     New Business

            Trish Law:

·        In the past Boosters and WHS have had a financial support agreement.  There is not one in place this year.  Trish hopes, with assistance and support of Boosters, to have an agreement in place in the near future.  Trish presented past Athletic Budget Support System Grid for Boosters’ information and suggested the Board consider this type of system for next school year.  WHS needs Booster support.  There are many options.  Trish encourages any suggestions or recommendations regarding a support system.

·        WHS has 1300 students enrolled, 300/400 of which are athletes.

·        Gate revenue this year “looking okay.”  Most expenses already paid for.  Gate fee will most likely increase to at least $6.00 next year.  No decision regarding increase of gate fee for lifetime Boosters can be made until a support agreement is in place.

·        Trish provided a summary of Booster membership fees for all SCL schools.

·        Transportation fees will remain same next year at $80.00 per student per sport.  This is standard policy.

·        The Board will meet at Gary Kramer’s home on May 3 and will report at May 10th meeting.

VIII.    Fundraisers

Gary Kramer will have information on the crab feed at next month’s meeting.

Trish Law would like to have SPORTS DAY on August 21, 2004.  SPORTS DAY would include coaches with brochures and/or flyers for athletes and their parents.  Boosters would provide a concession stand for lunch.  Athletes could have their physicals on that day in the gym.

IX.       Special Funds Request

Trish Law:  Celebration of Education.  Trish would like to reward students who raise their STAR testing scores.  Trish would like Boosters to consider donating spirit wear, concession stand coupons.  Trish welcomes any ideas or suggestions.

X.        Open Session Comments

Passions Dance was great fun and a financial success.   Already planning for next year.
