WHS Boosters Board Meeting Minutes
Monday, January 12, 2004
Meeting called to order at 7:05pm. 13 people in attendance
Welcome from President Gary Kramer. IT WAS NOTED AT THIS TIME THAT THE REST OF THE YEAR, THE BOOSTER MEETINGS WILL BE HELD ON THE 2ND MONDAY OF EACH MONTH; INSTEAD OF TUESDAY…PLEASE MARK YOU CALENDARS.
New Members- One new lifetime member
Minutes – Minutes of December meeting approved.
Treasurer’s Report – Report provided at meeting, total account is $39,365.56
Concession Stand – Doing well at the basketball games. Swim team is currently staffing the snack bar.
Stadium Committee – Meeting on Monday 1/19/04 at 7:00pm in Room H111. Rich Carnation is the chairperson and is working with representatives from the school district.
Coaches Report – Richard Carnation reported that wrestling if doing fantastic and continues to place in tournaments. Jason reported that the football/cheer banquet was the previous evening and went real well. Trish Law advised that the Spring Coaches meeting is set for 1/28/04 at 5pm at the high school.
Old Business
Jacob provided cards which have the booster website on it. Katie Straley has them and will bring to the meetings. He will be putting the logo on the web site. Jacob will also meet with Trish Law to discuss how to link up to WHS’s web site. Our site is: www.angelfire.com/wi3/whsboosters/index.htm
New Business
It was brought up that we need to file taxes. Gary will look into this. But first we need to see which tax ID# is correct as we have been given two different numbers.
It was discussed that we send a letter out about the Booster Club twice a year to remind people of our goals and encourage membership. We will also provide our membership brochure to mail in the mailing from the High School.
It was brought up that those who could attend a BBAC (budget committee for the school district) meeting on Monday, 1/19/04 at 5:30pm should as they are looking to cut around $800,000.00.
Fundraisers – Still looking at options. Discussion on signs and costs of same.
Special Funds Request – Marie request $100 to reimburse Donna Sexton for monies she spent on the Whitmore Event. Approved.
