A Christian Demonologist's Viewpoint
Now Playing: The Ongoing
Topic: The Main View
"Evil companionship corrupts good morals"

(1 Corinthians 15:33; 1 John 3:8,10).

Hello. My name is Scott Linden, and I am a member of SRI. And I am a Demonologist. What is that, exactly? I study and research the area of demons and the devils which the Bible speaks of, and I also deal with them on our earthly realm... in short, I cast them out in the Name of Jesus. I have sacrificed a lot to do this, to help people. I dedicate my life to God, and live by the Living Word, so that I may have the authority an power to do so. Not everyone is able to do this work- and only those who have the effectiveness and dominion to do so, like our cleansing team. This is by God's choice, not our own, and by much hard work and effort. Along with my wife, Heidi, and my cleansing team, we make it a point to learn as much as we can about this evil in our world, and we are able to rebuke and cast out what the Bible says we can, and should.

"Be sound minded, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour" (1 Peter 5:8).

"His lies seem to be for the good of man, but we know better!" (John 8:44; 2 Corinthians 11:13-15)

This isn't a Bible study, but I wanted to make it clear, as much of what I say is based from the Good Book, and I also use quotes from it.

The point I want to get across right away, is I am glad you found this topic, Demons and Demonology interesting, because it got you this far. Like my wife says "What you don't know can hurt you!" But the Bible states we are to stay away from what is not good; not of Him. Keep from anything evil, and not God-like. This area/field is for a select few. God wants you to dwell on the good things He made in life, and keep out the bad- anything that is not of Him.

But for one who does not believe in the Bible, was it written in vain? Or could it mean something to you? Take this as you will. I am not going to be politically correct, as I wrote this for your good, not for your feelings.

If you don't believe in the Bible because you read it, then that's one thing...maybe you need more education from someone who understands it well so that you can understand it. But if you say you don't believe in the Bible without ever reading it, or having someone help you understand it, then that is pure ignorance!

For example, let's take a child, who has a plate of food put in front of them. They dont like how it looks, or something about it, they instantly say they don't like it and refuse to eat it (even though they never have tried it). But you know they will ike it- and it's good for them.

As a child, my mom made liver. It was the most horrendous meal I ever had. BUT, I also, later in life, had it, when someone else cooked it, and it tasted much better. Same thing with reading and learning the Bible- some don't like it because what they have heard, been taught, read, etc...they didn't like. But, if they have the correct teacher, one who knows the Bible well, and can explain it in a way you can understand, then now it sounds pretty good, and it makes sense.

This is not an open forum for debate, but one man's experience, beliefs and effort to try and help you know what is really going on around us, and try to help you protect yourself.

Choose what religion you wish, but do it after you have read the one living Book that withstood a time of being destroyed- the one Book that is written in every single language in the world. The one Book that has proven itself with documented historical findings of the people in it, and the events in it as well. Prophesy was fulfilled many times in it, and with more to come.

Do I write this to offend anyone? No. Do I write it to start a debate? No. Do I write it to be an evangelist? No. I write it because I have come to know the Bible to be fact, and with all I have seen these past years, in my life and in the world, I do not doubt its contents.

Spiritual Warfare is among all of us, this entire earthly realm, everyday, constantly. We do not see it, but it is there. We are pawns to Satan and tools for God. It is time to know this and protect yourself.

I am a straight-forward type of guy. Some like me for it, some hate me. Take this entry as me giving information to you, in hopes you do right with it, and not to rile anyone up. Choose what you will.

Truth hurts.
Most people don't always like to hear the truth, but they want to hear what they want to hear. I don't want to patronize anyone, but being who I am in the group that I am in, this gives me a chance to state what I can.
In our investigations, through study, research and experience, paranormal problems (many times demonical) occurred because of:
1. Lack of knowledge in the area of the paranormal in connection with the spiritual
2. Ignorance
3. Dabbling in the occult (Ouija Boards, séances, and all means of communicating with the spirit world for answers, comfort, etc...)
4. Absence of God in their life

Maybe by writing this, I can educate someone; help them. As knowledge is power, as well as protection.

Know that religion is a set of man-made rules in the attempt to reach God. It is defined as "A personal or institutionalized system grounded in such belief and worship" and "A set of beliefs, values, and practices based on the teachings of a spiritual leader". I am not telling you to go find religion. I want you to go find God/Christ. Start a true, sincere relationship with Him, just as you would with your own father. Because God is our Father. He is our Creator and our Father. I won't get into evolution vs. creation, because that's not why I am writing htis, to prove a point. I am trying to set out some things for you, so that you may find the desire or need to seek Truth.
I hear people say all the time "I am [any religion] Catholic but not practicing...But I do believe in God." Well good for you. But Satan believes in God, too. God created him! Just because Lucifer believes in God doesn't mean he is under God's grace.

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Not just "believe" but "believeETH". The "eth" is translated as a verb- an ongoing action word. To continue to believe in Him, and grow in Him, such as a way of a Christian life.

Oh man! I am far from perfect! We all are! No one is perfect or sinless. But to at least follow the way that is told to us in the Bible, and a continual relationship with God, we aided in being protected from Satan and his legion! And the best of all- we will receive eternal life in the most perfect place imaginable- or, UNimaginable.

So when we are on an investigation, we will go through a home, with our equipment and with the members who have spiritual gifts. From this and other things, we will discern what is present. Is it human or INhuman?
When someone passes over, they either go to a place to be in the presence of God (not Heaven yet, as says the Bible). But I believe God will allow those good souls to come visit from time to time, just as Jesus came to let people know He was still alive. But those spirits will not "haunt" us. If fear is involved, and a continual disturbance, it is NOT of God. If it is NOT of God, then it is of the adversary, and whether they be a drunken serial killer or your brother who was a good person, if they have not gone to God, for whatever reason, then their souls are vulnerable to be manipulated and used by Satan for his workings. Hence, most calls we get. Therefore, we must treat each case, although individually, but the entity as one not of God.

When I bless a home and cleanse a person, it is somewhat of a "quick fix". We, in the Name of Christ, because of our strong beliefs and faithfulness to Him, have the power and authority to cast out demons. But it is up to the person to get and let God/Jesus into their life, so that He may protect them and offer them a gift far greater than all of man is possible of offering- the gift of everlasting life.

Many say they do not believe in a God who would damn us to Hell. But He doesn't! He says, all will join Him in Heaven, as long as they believeth in Him. Yes, you must lead a good life as best you can. And repent when you cannot, and worship, in thanks, for all you have been given. Goodness comes once you are sincere in changing. God forgives us for our sins, mistakes, etc...every time! But we must bow to Him in sincere regret. So we make the choice- not God.
Some say they believe in "a" God, but not the one I talk about. Well, the first commandment in the Bible states that we shall not have any other God before Him.
Oh? You don’t believe in the Bible? Although many have chose not to believe in the Bible, no one hasbeen able to disprove a single thing in it! And even to this day, archeologists, theologians, scholars, scientists, etc...are still finding evidence- artifacts, writings, Biblical landmarks and locations (I could go on!) proving that there is factual substance (truth) in it!

Comparisons to the Bible are books like the Koran, or the Kaballah- people ask, well what makes THIS book true, and not those? Although these religions have been around for a very long time, they have not been around, or distributed or prophesized, etc...like the Living Book has. Nor has there been much support or factula information in them that can be proven. There is no comparison. And any educated atheist will not dispute that Jesus Christ walked this earth- just as George Washington, Napoleon...it is about who He was. Start opening yourself up to this Truth and make a knowledgeable choice in belief.

I have done exorcisms. I know what it is like to look into the eyes of a demon. I am telling you, it is real! They are among us, and do not fight us unless they are confronted and the attempt is made to cast them back to where they belong.
Know that the Origin of False Religions Began with Lucifer! Anything to take us away from a relationship/connection with Jesus Christ, the one thing that can save our souls! If we do not go to God, where do you think you go?

Please don't be fooled by an easy to get book of new age beliefs or meta-physical ways. No one said this was easy- nothing really good is. But to know the Lord, it is beautiful and rewarding!

Casing point: I have not heard of one true Christian-believing/following family that has had to deal with the devil or the paranormal. If there is one, be certain that their giving up God or dabbling in the occult was there.

People have the time and interest and energy to buy and read new-age books on Astrology, Mediumship, how we are in control of our own beings and abilities, ESP, Tarot card manuals, and so so many more! But why have they not had the time or interest in reading the Bible? All the answers are there. I think people find it too complicated or boring. It isn't, if you read the amazing stories of how God touched people's lives. Angels! Demons! Prophets! Murder! Deceit! Treachery! Miracles! Devastations! Curses! Such incredible stories...how can that not be exciting? And you get more understanding as you read on, and it becomes relevant in your life, and it also changes one’s life. In this field, it will aid in protecting you and your family!

Maybe you are one who doesn't believe in Spiritual Warfare- God and the devil? Well know that there is an opposite to everything- up to down, big to small, day to night, and good to bad.

Stop turning to cards or stones or tea leaves, magic or rituals, or self-proclaimed psychics or devices and books for the answers, when it is right there for us- one Book, with all the answers.
My wife was asked once she found God "so where do you go now for your answers?"
My wife replied: "Now that I have found God, I don’t desire to know all the answers. And when I don’t know, agree with or understand something that is happening, I turn to God and just pray- I am ok with it, and accept it. That's called faith, and it is a lot stronger than any 6th sense ability I ever had!"

How is it we feel our technology is more advanced than we are? We are the ones who created it! As time goes on, things change in this world, but not in the next. God is the same yesterday, as He is today, and will be the same tomorrow.

Spirituality and the paranormal are on the rise. This is not a coincidence! I hope you choose to seek and gain the knowledge, and find God in your life now, before it is too late.

And furthermore, on that note, please know that I do not live my life for Christ out of fear...nor do I ask you to find the Truth out of fear...but I tell you this because I have been on both sides of the fence- a non-believer and a believer. Being one with God affects my life in a much more positive way. What we give to God, he returns with blessings...and in Heaven, ten-fold.

I like to end with this...if I am wrong, then all I did was live a good (and some will say limited) life, of, let's predict, of 90 years. If the non-believer is wrong, then they will spend an eternity in hell- eternal suffering. I do not want to take that risk- do you?

LAST THOUGHT:
As we have read, many of you may be dabbling in various spiritual and non-spiritual things in the attempt to answer questions you have...keep in mind that as you search for that answer, that there is consequences to all things that we do- and that we don't do. So if you've chosen a religion or a belief that lacks consequences for not believing in or trusting in it,you have to wonder why we would have to live a life that revolves around consequences, but our death wouldn't.

*Please know whenever I use the term "God" I am referring to Jesus Christ, and vice-versa. They are one.

What is Demonology and a Demonologist?
Mood:  sharp
Topic: Introduction
When a person hears that I am a "Demonologist", the first conception is that I study demons. In a way, that is true, but not out of a sick interest or a insane desire. It is because this is where my life has led me. I would much rather live a "normal" life, as a father, husband, man of God, worker in the employment field...But I have been shown truth time and time again. Do I ignore it and go on? I don't know if anyone could do that. Knowing what I know now, I needed to make a conscious choice- turn away, ignore all I have seen and experienced; go about life as if there was no realism to Spiritual Warfare...or fight for our lives and souls- help others seek and find Jesus so that they will be protected and Saved. Reading this, I think you know what I chose.

A common belief is that Demonology is as a branch of magic that deals with malevolent spirits. Not true at all. There is no "magic" involved! Demonology is a study of demoniacal phenomena; dealing with demons, through text (The Bible) and other resources, as well as on-hand experience with them. How a person decides to use that information he gains, bases if he is a Demonologist or not.

A Demonologist, like myself, is a person who has knowledge and experience with demons in this realm, and utilizes that knowledge to deal with the existence of them in this realm. Demonologists are also considered exorcists, as we cast out demons from people's lives. Demon possession is a very real occurrence. It is when a human has become inhabited or "taken over" by a demon and who cannot, consequently, exercise his own will. I do not know all the answers, nor will anyone. But we shoulkd never give up trying to learn more, because the more we know, the more we can help! and be safe ourselves.

I am a strong believer and follower in Jesus Christ. It is only by His Name and Authority, do I have the authority to deal with and cast out any demons in this world. All anyone needs is true faith in Him, as well as a lifestyle to prove we are worthy of this authority and power- to confront demons in the Name of Jesus, to get them to leave. But of course not all of us would have the stomach for this work.

Now you will find lists of demons- names, types, why they do things, and even ideas of when and how. Do not go by what you read as truth, unless it comes from the Bible.

You can go just about anywhere today, even public libraries, to read about the existence of earthbound spirit phenomena- including negative/evil ones. Knowledge has been laid out thanks to work done over the past century by reputable research organizations and individuals. But, proper and correct information about demons remain difficult to come by. So many people have websites and books, theories, etc...based on their belief, but not advanced and vast study. One must be careful where they go for information on this subject. Much is quite misleading. But I do believe, knowledge is power, and more so, for protection. The question is no longer if demons are real, but, how exactly they interact with our lives. I am telling you, first hand, I know they do, and their presence is dangerous to us- spiritually, emotionally and physically.

You will find most books of the occult, referencing demons, giving an array of definitions and scenarios. Depending on who you talk to, is what credence is given. When you dwell in religion, the subject became history, present and future- quite real, serious and most frightening. Not a novelty. Why will most churches and priests turn down a subject of this, other than with their superiors? For all that the world has embraced- occultism is welcomed and the truth denied.

I have been told by church officials that I am "playing with fire". Well, yes, this is true. I have been told by religious superiors "I wouldn't do what you do". I have been warned that my family and myself are in mortal danger, confronting demons in peoples' lives. I have been advices by many "leave it up to God". All true as well. But this is the work God has given me, and I have faith that because I do His Work, He will protect me. Everything is by His Will, not mine.

We all have positions in this life. I have found mine.

How it began...
Topic: Introduction
Please know that these views are not necessarily the opinions of all SRI members...

This is my position as a Demonologist, as a man, as a Christian.

I took on this role not because I chose to- mortally endangering myself and my family, but because when it presented itself to me, it seemed my calling.

I met my wife, Heidi, in 2000. On our very first date she told me how her house was haunted. I had once used a Ouija Board before, with my ex wife, and that was my first and only paranormal encounter, Up until then, my entire life was the armed forces, my marriage, my 2 daughters, my work as a sheet metal worker, and real estate agent. My goal was to retire comfortably, early, with my family.
But when I heard, for the first time, paranormal disturbances, at my (now wife's) home, I knew there was more to the physical and material world than I had known.
I always believed in God, but these experiences took me to a new level...
My wife told me she one day wanted to form a paranormal group that could help people, who experienced what she had...months of enduring shadows, black balls of light flying by her, voices that were not hers, in her home...bangs on doors and walls, moving of objects, terrifying herself and her son...I could go on, but you get the picture.
I thought this was a good idea- for her to help people who didn't know about this type of thing. I would support her all the way. I did not expect to take a serious turn towards the supernatural myself, and become the spiritual leader, blessing homes and cleansing people.
My wife formed her group, and at first, we had fun. Starting out, we didn't have out name out in the open, so, we investigated places we'd heard was haunted...having some odd experiences and getting some great pictures and EVP's. As time went on, we learned more, and we grew- as individuals and as a team.
But one thing that hit us like a ton of bricks was "when ghosts go bad". Sounds like a great pilot of Sci-Fi but, it is most serious. An entity can invade not just a place, but a person... and when one invaded my wife during a private-home investigation, I was left on a limb, scared for her and a bit worried- was I prepared for this? Could we help her? It is basically a possession, and she was not herself- laughing (not her usually fun-loving laugh) at me when I read out of the Bible, bawling but did not know why, looking at me with evil eyes that were not hers...It was then I realized, WE, as human beings, could not do this alone. I was in no position to take a chance with my wife's well-being. After intense prayer, the entity moved from her to a client. That was even more terrifying, because this was not a 5'4" 140 lb woman, but a 6'0" good 180 lb man! He shook physically, and I was the only male on the investigation at the time. What if he were to attempt to hurt one of my members? I could not hold him down on my own...We called on the name of Jesus, strongly, for approximately an hour. After trying other things, this was the only thing that worked. Everyone put their beliefs aside to help this man, and there it was- the Power of God, at work. He helped us help this man, and clear this home of whatever evil entity was there. And it was Him- not us. We are just ordinary people- a handyman, a home-maker, a para-legal, a care giver, and a retail associate. We had no power or authority over a supernatural force. We were human, not supernatural.
Based off past investigations, where we did cleansings, using a self-made combination of cleansing techniques, noting worked permanently. Only temporarily. We would get called back to a site with either the same occurrences beginning again, or more intense and frightening disturbances. Until we would bless a home in the Name of Jesus Christ, and command any evil to leave a place or person, in His Name, were we successful.
I saw a pattern of occult use in people and/or at the location being disturbed, and I saw how only in the Name of Christ could we fully help them. Now, I had a decision to make. The signs were there, the facts were placed before me. I could not deny them, nor could anyone else. It was time to change things...
