“Mommy looke!” Devon yelled. Nicole looked over to her left and saw a huge pile of sand.
“Honey that’s such a beautiful…” Nicole started, not knowing what it was.
“It’s a sand castle mommy!” Devon exclaimed. Nicole smiled.
“I knew that” She laughed. Devon ran towards the Gulf of Mexico to get some water for a moat. Nicole closed her eyes and laid back onto her towel. They were on the beach in front of the Holiday Inn they were staying at.
“MOMMY!” Devon yelled. Nicole jumped up afraid something was wrong. When she got down to the water she saw Nick, Kelly, and AJ standing by Devon.
“Devon, you scared me” Nicole exclaimed.
“Sorry” Devon mumbled. Kelly was splashing Devon while Nicole made her way back to her towel.
“You aren’t even going to say hi?” AJ asked. Nicole’s sunglasses were resting on her nose, but she slowly pushed them back and ignored AJ.
“Someone has PMS” Nick joked. Nicole laid back again on her towel and closed her eyes.
“Hey Brian!” AJ yelled running back towards the water. Nicole sat up on her towel quickly.
“Why is he here?” Nicole growled.
“He’s probably saying the same about you” Nick joked.
“Brian, let’s leave I don’t want to stay here” Gina, Brian’s girlfriend whined. Brian kept walking.
“He’s my kid, It’s the least I can do, ya know, play with him for awhile” Brian replied. “Give him a million, It’ll be more use to him then playing with him for awhile will ever be” Gina snapped. Brian shot Gina a glance.
“What? Kevin lost his dad and that didn’t help him” Brian responded.
“Yes it did, Its helped him mature, My parents sent me to boarding school when I was 5 and I turned out perfectly fine” Gina replied. Brian looked over at her and his smile faded.
“Brian remember what we said, I don’t want to be fat before I’m 50…so, When we get married, I’ll be your child, and you can be my child, we’ll love each other so much!” Gina exclaimed. Devon started to run towards Brian.
“Let’s talk about this later” Brian replied as he left Gina standing in the sand.
“Devon, Let’s go get something to eat” Nicole yelled. Devon and Brian had been building sandcastles, burying each other in the sand, Brian had taken him on a wave runner, everything you could possibly do on the beach, and they did. Nicole sat on her towel, getting a tan, with Gina sitting next to her. Gina talked and talked about her modeling career, something Nicole didn’t give a damn about. In Nicole’s opinion, Gina was a snobby bitch, but that was her opinion, Brian seemed to like her.
“Where are you guys going?” Gina questioned.
“I don’t know, Someplace around here” Nicole replied.
“Well, I loved talking with ya, maybe we should all go out to eat!” Gina exclaimed. Before Nicole could give her some lie, she was off to tell Brian about her plan. Nicole shrugged and put her stuff into her beach bag.
“Hey Nicole!” Angie, AJ’s new girlfriend, yelled. Nicole looked up at her.
“Can we all quick change in your room before we go to dinner?” Angie asked. Nicole made a face to Nick, then turned towards Angie.
“Sure” Nicole replied.
“Hurry up!” Nick yelled. Nicole gave a final brush to her hair and ran towards the door to her room.
“Do I look OK?” Nicole asked Nick.
“No, Maybe you should spend another 20 minutes in the bathroom” Nick suggested.
“Well, OK” She replied. She started to walk into the room. Nick reached out and grabbed her arm.
“I was kidding” Nick replied.
“So was I” Nicole laughed. Everyone else was already by the elevator.
“Ready?” Brian asked.
“She better be!” AJ joked as Gina, Angie, Nick, Brian, Devon, Kelly and Nicole crammed into the elevator.
“Will you be here tomorrow still?” Brian asked Nicole as he carried Devon to her room.
“Yeah....2 days left” Nicole replied. Nicole opened her room’s door and let Brian carry Devon to the bed.
“Well, If I’m not busy, I’ll take him to Universal or Disney” Brian replied.
“He’d like that a lot” Nicole replied. Brian smiled and started to leave.
“Hey Brian, when did you change your mind about Devon?” Nicole asked.
“When Nick bitched at me” Brian joked, walking out of the room. Nicole smiled, It was the first time they had talked without screaming at each other, and Nicole liked that a lot.
“I care why?” Nicole asked.
“Because this is a large part of Carter history!” Nick whined.
“Nick, if you haven’t noticed, I’m not a Carter” Nicole replied. Nick smirked.
“You mean you’re not my brother?” Nick joked. Nicole picked up a pillow and hit him hard. They were sitting in his living room of his mansion, going through old pictures of his family. Brian and Gina had decided to take Devon to Universal Studios.
“So, What do you wanna do?” Nicole questioned, throwing the picture album on the floor.
“You don’t want to finish looking at the pictures?” Nick questioned.
“Looking at picture’s of a 5 year old nude doesn’t excite me” Nicole commented.
“Even if the 5 year old is me?” Nick joked.
“Escepically if the 5 year old is you” Nicole joked back. She got off his leather couch and ran upstairs, after looking at 5 rooms, she found his. It had a king size bed, huge walk in closet filled with different kinds of clothes and on the dresser, a picture of Nick, Brian, Nicole and Katie. Nicole picked it up and smiled.
“What are you doing in here?” Nick asked.
“Looking for playboy magazines” Nicole joked. Nick walked over.
“Why do you have this?” Nicole asked.
“You found the magazines?” Nick joked, looking alarmed.
“No” Nick replied.
“Then why?” Nicole asked.
“I never clean, this thing has been in here forever” He replied, taking the picture.
“sure…” Nicole joked. Nick smiled at her.
“You’re suppose to melt when I smile” Nick joked.
“Not for an ugly face like yours!” Nicole yelled. Nick picked her up and threw her on the bed.
“I like wild men!” Nicole joked. The phone rang and Nick picked it up.
“Hello?” Nick asked. His friend Brent was on the phone, Nicole shrugged and went to investigate his house.
“I’m tired,” Devon cried. Brian picked him up.
“Ready to go?” Brian asked Gina. Gina made a face.
“I’ll be so sunburn by tomorrow!” Gina complained. Brian sighed.
“Let’s go” Brian mumbled. He put Devon on his shoulders as they walked away.
