Josie opened one eye, then the other. Her head ached and for some reason, Her body ached too. Josie sat up, she held her head so she wouldn't get dizzy, then yawned. She stood up, then jumped back into bed when she noticed she was naked. Josie swore, then lifted up the cover and peeked under, to see Nick naked too.
"Damn" Josie muttered. She tried to remember what happened last night but her mind came up blank. Josie stood up, wrapping the sheet around herself and got her clothes on.
"This is pretty good, How's you learn to make it?" Amanda asked. Josie smirked.
"9th grade Family and Consumer class" Josie replied. She gave a glass of 'Orange Jubilee' to AJ and walked out of the little kitchen Amanda and AJ had in their room. Josie walked down the hall to her room. She sighed and opened it up. Nick was getting dressed when she walked in.
"Hey" Josie exclaimed.
"Hey" Nick mumbled. They stood in silence for a minute.
"We have to talk?" They both exclaimed in unison.
"You go first" Josie instructed. Nick sighed.
"You came home pretty drunk and I have to admit that I was pretty turned on. I know it wasn't right, but sorry Josie, You're not a virgin anymore" Nick explained bluntly.
"Excuse me? What did you say?" Josie exclaimed in a bitchy tone. She had guessed that, but not until he had told her it hit home.
"You heard me...You started this all. Hell, you were the one ripping off my clothes!" Nick yelled. Josie sighed.
"I trusted you enough Nick that I thought you wouldn't do something like this to me" Josie screamed.
"Listen, Josie I cant take what I did back" Nick explained.
"No shit" Josie yelled. "You are a fuckin’ bastard Nick, You known that?"
"I know I deserve that but Josie, I care a lot about you...I didn't mean for this to happen this way…but it did..." Nick exclaimed. He walked towards her but she pushed him away. Josie didn't know her own strength and was surprised when Nick fell to the ground and hit his head on a dresser..
"Yea, sure you do" Josie snapped, walking out of the room.
"Leighanne?" Josie yelled to the door. She banged on it again until she opened up.
"What?" Leighanne snapped. Her hair was all frizzy and she had an angry look on her face.
"Can we talk?" Josie questioned. Leighanne stared at her for a second. Josie didn't look too good.
"OK" Leighanne replied. She closed the door for a minute and pulled some clothes on. Leighanne opened the door back up, letting Josie in.
"Can you leave Brian?" Josie questioned.
"Josie, I'm Nick's best friend, I know Nick so well. So if he screwed up, I can probably tell you why he did what he did" Brian explained.
"Well, OK" Josie commented. "I came home pretty drunk last night and I guess I was asking for it and Nick and I had sex"
"What?" Leighanne asked. "Did he make you?"
"No, I mean, I was drunk so I don't remember" Josie explained. Brian sighed.
"Josie, I'm Nick's best friend, so I know that if Nick has pants on...it cuts off the circulation to his brain and then things like this happen" Brian joked.
"I don't know what to do with him" Josie said with a confused look upon her face.
Hey, but you can't leave...we all have grown attached to you" Leighanne said.
"I won't...I could never go back to a normal life...way to quiet" Josie said
Josie had her head leaned up against the window as the plane flew through the air. They were in first-class in the very first seats. Nick was next to Josie and on Nick's left was a little 9-year-old who was listening to her discman. She had been listening to the "Millennium" CD most of the plane ride, she had even glanced up at Nick a few times, but never noticed him.
"JOSIE?" Katie screamed. Josie brought her head off the window and looked up.
"Katie, what the hell are you doing on a flight to Tampa?" Josie asked.
"Well, Jon's dad owns a house in Tampa too! I talked to Melissa awhile ago-The day before I saw you, Do you talk to her anymore?" Katie asked.
"Yea, a lot" Josie replied. She looked away from Katie and looked back at the endless line of clouds out the window.
"So Nick, How are you?" Katie asked.
"I'm good" Nick replied.
"Josie looks like she has PMS" Katie joked.
"Nah" Nick replied smiling at her. She smiled back and winked at him. A stewardess walked over and told her to go to her seat. Josie stood up and walked to the back of the plane. She picked up the phone and dialed Melissa's number.
"Hello?" Melissa exclaimed.
"Hey Mel!" Josie exclaimed.
"Josie! What's up? Why haven’t you called?" Melissa asked.
"I've been so busy" Josie replied.
"I have so much to tell you! You know the day after you left, well, You'd never guess who called me!" Melissa exclaimed.
"Katie?" Josie questioned.
"Yeah, how'd you know?" Melissa asked.
"She's met me in Detroit and I guess she had the same plans as me" Josie replied. “In fact, she’s on the plane to Tampa with me and Nick right now”
“You’re going to Nick’s house? Girl, I’m so jealous! You have to invite me down!” Melissa whined.
“We’re only here a week” Josie replied.
"Oh, well, Also, In 2 weeks your dad's getting married! It's going to be small, but I'm suppose to tell you and Nick to come" Melissa explained.
"OK" Josie replied. A stewardess came back by her.
"Seat belts on in 5 minutes" She scolded.
"I'll talk to you later" Josie exclaimed.
"OK, bye" Melissa replied.
"WAIT, what does Jon's dad do?" Josie asked.
“Jon who?” Melissa asked.
“My ex Jon” Josie replied.
"He's a owns some big company in Tampa or is that your other ex’s dad Jim? Wait, Is his dad the one who is a janitor at our school?" Melissa explained.
“I don’t know, I gotta run” Josie replied, going to her seat.
"Hey Josie" Katie yelled
"Yeah?" Josie replied.
"Jon's having a lil' party tonight, you and Nick are free to join us" Katie offered.
"Sure, we’ll be there...I need to get away for a bit" Josie commented.
"Cool…see ya then" Katie exclaimed, walking away from Josie and giving Nick a cute little smile.
"Nice house...." Josie exclaimed.
Thanks" Jon said. He was leaning next to her in khaki shorts and an open Hawaiian shirt, showing off his well-built stomach.
"And when we were dating all that time you never took me down here..." she commented.
"I couldn't ‘cause it wasn’t here at that time...that’s why" he explained. "Want anything to drink?"
"Oh yeah..bring over 3 wine coolers...they'll go fast" Josie replied. “I’m going to have me some fun tonight!”
"Umm OK...I'll be back" he said. Nick came over in his shorts and a wife-beater.
"Hey" Nick said. She just looked the other way and didn't say a word to him. "Nevermind then..."
"Here ya go" Jon exclaimed, pushing Nick to the side and handing Josie her drinks.
“Thank You” Josie exclaimed sweetly. She walked away with Jon leaving Nick by himself.
“What a bitch” Katie whispered in his ear. Nick spun around.
“Hey Katie, No she’s just mad at me” Nick replied. Katie picked a shot glass off the bar.
“Want one?” Katie offered.
“I better not” Nick replied. Katie put her finger in the shot and wiggled it around, then put her finger to her lips.
“Just because she’s mad doesn’t mean you can’t have any fun” Katie replied with a sexy grin on her face.
