A Place Called Earth
A demon is like a snake, as gentle as a dove,
Or angels making love
I follow the footsteps across the desert
To come toward the town of the unbelieving
Through the streets I walk, seeing children
Shouting and dancing like friends
I enter a tavern to fulfill my thirst
A blind man serves me some wine and bread
After feasting I ask the blind man for the time
He only answers “No one knows the day or hour”
I know this is no normal man, but an angel
He tells me to head east and read the stars
I follow the road long and narrow
The stars tell me that I will reach the place of my birth
Now I must rest for my spirit is weak
Not long afterwards I walk through
Fields of Black Sabbath as well as ravish
The corn the grows there
The place feels familiar, this is the place
Of my childhood, I head towards my home
But no one is there, only death is there
I see the stairway to heaven
Behind me is hell, now I see
Heaven and Hell, Angels and Wolves
Evil and good, this is like a curse
Now I’m born on a place called earth.
