I had such a good Summer, and before I knew it, it was Fall....
It seemed like before I knew it, the leaves were looking less green
and more brown again, and the next thing I knew, they were on the ground
under my feet, making the crunchy noises that only dried leaves can make.
They're fun to run through, and almost every afternoon, mom took me outside
to play Frisbee. I'm much better at it than she is.
I can jump way up in the air and catch it, and run faster than the wind!
She tosses it for me, and then I catch it. It's my second favorite thing to do
other than retrieve. But it's like retrieving too I guess, so it's
no wonder I love doing it.
Every day, mom would say,
"Cody, it's still nice out today, so let's go out and play...
this weather can't last much longer."
Well, the weather DID last longer... except for a few rainy, cold days, we had a
very nice Fall, and when December came, and it was still nice,
neither mom or I could believe that I was still able to play Frisbee.
Finally, just a day or two before Christmas, the weather got colder and it snowed a little.
Until just recently, that was the only snow we had all Winter. Snow is fun to play in,
but when I stop playing for a few minutes and realize just how cold it is,
I'm usually ready to go back into the house and warm up.
My human sister and her family came to visit right after Christmas,
and boy, are they fun to have around! I actually had to rest up after they went home
because they kept me so busy. My human brother lives in the same town where we live,
so he comes to visit sometimes, and he's alot of fun too! He almost always takes
me out to the backyard and runs around with me for awhile...
I LIKE my human brother and sister!! I'm a lucky dog.
Now, it's February, and in about a week, it will be Valentine's Day.
I don't send out any Valentine's in the mail,
so I thought I would send you a Valentine here.
My mom made this one for me to give you... I hope you like it!
