<<< Handy Dandy Notebook: October 2000 >>>
October 29, 2000: I just got back from Kenosha and I had a pretty good time. I won't bore you with the details. I bought a car on Friday. It is a Grandpa mobile, but I am not complaining. I got a good deal on it because it has high miles. Right after Christmas, I should have pictures of it on the site. Today is my last day of my little vacation, so I am going to enjoy it while it lasts. Talk to you guys later.
October 25, 2000: Today school only lasted until 11:52 A.M. and I have tomorrow and friday off. I am so glad we have a vacation from school! On friday, my Dad and I are leaving for Kenosha (where I used to live). I can't wait to see my friends and hang out. No offense to Northeast Wisconsin, but Kenosha is better! You are 30-37 miles from Milwaukee and 57-60 miles from Chicago. The radio is also a lot better down there. Anyways, I am going to Kenosha, so the "Link of the Week" will be updated a day early. Talk to you later fellow be-achs!
October 22, 2000: Tonight I found out that some 17 year old from Tennessee was planning to kill NSYNC! He is currently going under psychiatric evaluation. His mother noticed some changes in her son's behavior and mood and found a folder in his room labeled "Operation Death Strike." The folder contained a checklist for his plan to harm NSYNC when they performed in Atlanta on Oct. 21.
According to Deputy Chief Barker, who described the boy as deeply "remorseful," there was never reason to believe that the boy would carry out his plans against the group. He had no access to weapons and never approached his friends for help. His motive: As the NSYNC concert approached, his female classmates were talking about the band and their favorite members a lot. I do not hate NSYNC enough to kill them, but I still find this fairly amusing.
October 19, 2000: A little shocking news came to me through the airwaves yesterday. I was listening to the local hard rock station Razor 94.7 when Pete Burns (DJ) announced that Zack De La Rocha had left Rage Against the Machine. I was kind of shocked, but left wondering if the rest of the band would stay together. Today it was announced that the remainder of the band will stay together. I was starting to lose interest in Rage anyway because I was not diggin the new stuff. While I am sad that Zack has left a great band, I am
excited to hear what the new Rage Against the Machine will sound like. Now, to me. I am pretty happy right now because I just got two projects out of the way. What a weight off my shoulders. Next weekend I am going to visit my friends in Kenosha, WI (where I used to live) so I am feelin pretty good right now. Until next time, BLAH!
October 8, 2000: Once again, I ask you to excuse October 1st's entry. Using cruelty to express your feelings is not a good idea because that can hurt people. Anyways, nothing of interest is going on in my life right now. I went to Marshfield, WI this weekend which is located in Central Wisconsin. It just made me, once again, realize how much the rock stations in my area suck. Luckily the station I like, that is located in that area, has an internet stream. It still would be nice to have a decent station around here, though. Not much else to say, so this entry is finished.
October 2, 2000: Whoa, I was really tired when I wrote yesterday's entry. I was definitely not acting like myself, so please excuse it. Today we got mid-quarter grades in school. I did surprisingly well, but it is only first quarter. I am
sure the classes will get much harder. I got a headache around 4th hour, and I still do not feel good. I had to call in sick for work today. My headache was easing up on the busride home. In the morning I had told this girl that rides my bus that
I was going to steal her Eyeore stuffed animal(because it was Pajama Day). I grabbed it on the way home, and gave it back right away. She still hit me on the head, and that didn't help my headache at all. Be-yach. Oh well, tomorrow is another day.
