<<< Handy Dandy Notebook: August 2002 >>>

August 23, 2002: Well it is Friday and I am pretty happy (despite that gloomy weather outside). Last night David and I talked more about our website project, Wisconsin Teens. We found a great host and came up with a domain name. I am very excited about that as well as tomorrow because we are going to Kenosha. Can't wait to drive the Regal and hang out with everyone. Ought to be a good time. I hope to kind of make it an end of summer thing because we start school on the 3rd. I am not really thinkin' about that, though. Except for the fact that Bear and Duecker might be in my favorite class on my schedule, so that ought to be cool. That's all.

August 12, 2002: Well I got back from another stay in Kenosha yesterday. My mom, sister, and I went down on Wednesday because my Grandpa was in the hospital again. He came home a few days later and looked pretty good. While I was down there I did the usual: hung out with Nick, Nate, Kricker and some other peeps, rolled in the Regal. I had fun. On the last night of being there I picked up Nick and Nate and we drove around. Nick kept tellin' us about the time he had spent with Monica that evening and how he was going to hook up with her. Nate and I decided that we hate him (not literally) for being able to get so many girls and the only dilemma being which one to choose. Anyways I'll be back down there in 2 weeks and am looking forward to it. On another note, school registration is tomorrow and Wednesday. Just another reminder that summer is ending and I have to go back to hell soon. Oh well, senior year...I'm almost done.

August 2, 2002: For the first time in my life, I realized how cool stars are. I was alone out by the fire and had nothin' to do but look up. For reasons unexplained, I just looked at them in a whole new way. Anyways, back down to earth now. I am kind of bummed because the older of our two cats, Bogi, is dying. We only noticed about a week or so ago that he was breathing funny and losing weight. We took him to the vet today and it does not look good. He has cancer they think....and if not that, he has other problems too. So tomorrow is pretty much going to be a saying goodbye day. As with any kind of death or tragic incident, it takes awhile to hit me and sink in. Well tonight it finally started to. Bogi is a cat with a personality all his own and I am really going to miss him.
