Commonwealth Games : Guest Programme :
Booking Terms & Conditions

Wiseguides : Commonwealth Games Guest Programme

Making a Booking :
Any of the offered activities may be booked by completing the Booking Form mailed to our Guest audience, and returning this by post, or by fax, with full payment to our office in Manchester. WISEGUIDES : P.O. Box 63, Prestwich, Manchester M25 3DB. Fax : +44 161 773 0692. Payments can be accepted by Bank Transfer, or by Cheque - all payments must be made in British pounds. Prices shown are the net amounts per person, payable to Wiseguides, exclusive of any bank charges you may incur. Full payment details are given on the Booking Form. All confirmed bookings will receive a confirmation by post, fax or e-mail, after our operational minimum number has been reached for each activity. All activities and events must be paid for in full at the time of booking. For e-mailed bookings where your payment preference is for settlement by bank transfer, you must state this on the online booking form. Payments for all bookings must be received in Manchester in full prior to the Booking Deadline.

Booking Deadlines :
Please note that there is a Booking Deadline of Saturday 15th June 2002 for any element of the Guest Programme. Bookings cannot be accepted after this date, except in exceptional circumstances, and at the sole discretion of Wiseguides, the tours organiser. Prices and availability cannot be guaranteed for any bookings received after the deadline date, and it remains the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure that bookings and full payment are received no later than the deadline date. All bookings remain "subject to availability" until confirmed in writing by ourselves. A written confirmation of booked activities will be issued by post to the lead name given on each Booking Form or online booking, shortly after the booking deadline in June.

Cancellations and Refunds :
After a booking is made and payment is received, there shall be no refunds of monies paid, save for the instances where A) for operational reasons (insufficient numbers, unforseen closure of a major-feature attraction, force majeure) we decide to cancel a tour, or B) in case of over-subscription. In such instances, we will refund the monies in full to those parties holding confirmed and fully-paid bookings with us. Our liability in such instances is limited to the sale price of the excursion or activity in question only. In the event of any events or tours being over-subscribed, we will, on a first come first served basis, and at our sole discretion, arrange additional tours, or will return cheques sent, uncashed. In the case of payments being made by bank transfers, and tours or events subsequently being over-subscribed, we will make a full refund in cash in Manchester of the net amount, solely on presentation of the original paper copy of the bank transfer document. Refunds cannot be made under any other circumstances. Postal bookings must be accompanied by full payment at the time of booking. Bookings are not transferable to third parties under any circumstances. Your cancellation or withdrawal from pre-purchased events due to illness may be covered by your travel insurance (recommended). Please arrange suitable cover.

Late Bookings :
Whilst we strongly advise you to make and pay for your preferred bookings well in advance of the deadline date of 15th June, we plan to provide a central point in the Midland Hotel during the Games, for the administration of pre-reserved bookings, to provide a retail outlet for any surplus tickets not sold during the pre-reservation period, and to be a focal point for VIP participants on a daily basis. Surplus tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis. Such sales are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances. Please ensure booking forms and payments are completed in full prior to delivery to our Operations Team.

Tickets :
Tickets for all pre-booked events will be delivered to your Manchester hotel between 10th and 20th July, for collection on your arrival in Manchester. Please ensure you bring our confirmation in order to collect your tickets. Tickets should be presented to the guide or event manager at the beginning of each event. Whilst every reasonable effort will be made to deliver the programmes as described in our literature, we reserve the right to amend itineraries, with elements of similar value where required.

More Information :
Further copies of all materials are available directly from our office on request. All terms and conditions are subject exclusively to English law.
