Salem 1999

Well, I do have to say that I had a wonderful time in Salem this year. It was an experience that all should try. It was spiritual and fun. I could not believe the amount of people that were there. One vendor said that they predicted 300 thousand. And the costumes were outrageous. I took many pics but unfortunately a lot of them came out too dark. I will show you what I can and have a list of links to Salem shops and sites for you to explore also. I met many wonderful people there and not one was rude or disrespectful. Everyone there seemed to have a good time and enjoy all the other people. There were times that the streets were so crowded that I felt as if I was being herded like cows. It was an experience that’s for sure. The streets are lined in cobblestone and the little shops were quaint. There was so much to see that I couldn’t get to everything. This is why I MUST go back! (Good excuse huh?) One bit of advise. If you ever go to Salem around October I would suggest taking a cab into town and back. Don’t drive. It is impossible to get anything done when you are sitting in traffic. The cabs know the back streets and popped us right into town. If you go with a group… hang on to them for dear life or you will lose them. This is a fact!

Well, enough babbling…

On with the show.
