Bible Quote of the Day

What would happen if someone combined

by dumping the lot into a blender and leaving it on "frappee" overnight?

The answer: my Bible Quote of the Day system!

I downloaded a copy of the King James version of the bible. I filtered out the headings, so all that is left was the original scripture. That got piped into dadadodo, a text dissociation algorithm. I set up a series of scripts which generate a new passage of scripture every day, based on word combination frequencies in the original text.

What this means for us is: barring divine intervention, these passages won't make sense.

Sample Passage

To hear What hath broken forth. Their doings, whether it?

Therefore thus saith it came, with a child sneezed seven lamps in the
Lord. And Ruth clave to water, and the he thundereth with us our little
deacon, well children of his offering, and Linus, and it among us be
given to and of trouble: thou a wife. These worketh Reuben according
unto you, it be set them, in the heathen that looketh on the priest
shall be reckoned by faith, we know in the fat mouth against you? And
say when thou there is wanting nothing bettered, but unto Gerar and the
Lord: God concerning the earth, shall die, not commit Jeremiah, the
fish's children of Dura, in afflictions, of the servants: shoulder, of
the pastures of thy people, and they cast himself unto the fruit in
thine enemies; laugh be not all the waters, That sat in the Lord Jesus
clothed and do good afraid of Egypt.

Just think of the good it would do to deliver messages like this daily to people around the world. Many of those people will forward the message on to their friends, neighbors, and relatives. Someone will probably even click "Print", so that a homeless person might have shelter.

I can tell that you are most interested in receiving the message.

Any day now, I will be getting my mail server online, so you can automatically sign up.

If you just can't wait, please drop me an email at spqr@linuxstart.com and let me know that you want to read the Word of the Lord.

The one shot server is up.

To request one Bible passage, send an email to spqr@hotpop.com with the word quote in the subject line. You will not be added to my mailing list. Since I am on a slow connection, there may be a significant lag-time (15 minutes!) between when you send the request and when your request is answered.
