Final Fantasy 7
Final Fantasy 7 is one of the Playstations biggest and best RPGs. Done by the Squaresoft company, which is known for it's quality RPGs, it quickly became a best seller in Japan and the US. The Story is based around a man named Cloud and his group of friends defending the planet against Seohiroth, a man with a horrible past and mission. Cloud meets many friends on his quest that aid him, some old and some new. The quest starts really with Avalache, a world saving renegade group out to fight the life sucking company Shinra. Avalache is lead by Barret and Tifa. Cloud also gets involved in a love triangle with Tifa and Aeris, and also learns about his strange past in his adventures. The magic in the FF7 world is basically in materia orbs which get equipped on weapons. The technology is based on a past-to-futuristic world. such as they have advanced power plants and airships, yet they have only begun a space program. This is a very good game with my highest recomendation, for only the price of $20, its on the greatest hits list now, you can't go wrong.

Description:Cloud is the main character of the game. Cloud has a very strange past, most of his memories started in his hometown of Nibelheim with Tifa. As a teen he left to join SOLDIER, a group a Shinra military. He was following his hero Sephiroth. Later after many strange events Cloud was found by Tifa in Midgar, where he is hired by AVALANCHE. Cloud gets caught up in many events and the struggle to save the planet. He also gets involved in a love triangle with Tifa and Aeris. As the past is revealed Cloud discovers with Tifa that he was never in SOLDIER, but just a guard. Many things were also revealed about Cloud's involvement in the Jenova Reunion and Sephiroth.
Aeris Gainsborough

Description:Aeris works and lives in the Slums of Midgar selling flowers. She meets Cloud when he falls through the roof of the church she grows flowers at. She instantly has a crush on him and joins him on his adventure. It turns out that Aeris is the last known Acient, which makes her a target for Shinra and Sephiroth. She sees the threat of Meteor before anyone and goes out to use her special white materia to help stop it. Sadly, Sephiroth sees this and destories her, but even in death she can help save the planet.
Tifa Lockheart
Job:Bar Hostess and key AVALANCHE memeber

Description:Tifa is a cheerful person, always trying to get on people's good side. She was a childhood friend of Cloud and also got him involved with AVALANCHE. During their time as children she develped feelings for Cloud and still has them. Tifa is a master of Maratial Arts. During their journies She helps Cloud uncover his past.
Barret Wallace
Job:Leader of AVALANCHE

Description:Barret is the leader of the world saving group. He decided to start it after the accident in this town of North Corel caused by Shinra, where he saw what they did to the planet and how they treated people. Barret is very strong and has a big temper. He got his gun-arm when he and his best friend Dyne tried to save North Corel. In the pocess Dyne disappeared, so Barret took care of his daughter Marlene.
Red XIII
Job:Protector of Cosmo Canyon

Description:Red XIII was captured and taken to Midgar for testing, being the last of his species. Cloud's group finds him and he joins them until he reaches his home of Cosmo Canyon. Cosmo Canyon is wear he lives with his grandfather Burgenhagen(don't ask me how he's his grandfater). His tribe name is really Nanika, and he has always lived with the fact that his father Seto was a coward. He learns that his father was really a great warrior, and keeps going with Cloud to save the planet.
Cait Sith/Reeve

Weapon:Mog and megaphone
Description:Cait Sith appears to be a 3 foot tall cat that rides on a magically brought to life toy mog that he controlls with a megaphone. Later it appears that Cait Sith himself is a toy also, controlled by Reeve, a Shinra worker, forced to spy on Cloud's group. Reeve is very concerned with the people of Midgar, so he inturn spies on Shinra for Cloud, and leads them through Midgar when certain problems occur.
Cid Highwind

Description: Cid is a 32 year old fowl mouthed pilot, who has always dreamed of going into space. Years before, Cid was part of the Shira rocket team, but stopped the launch because a women named Shera would die if he did. He and Shera lived in Rocket town after that, seeing Cid saved her life and gave up his dreams for Shera she decided to take care of him. Cid spent his days working on the old rocket, his plane the Tiny Bronco, and dreaming about Rufus starting the space program again. After seeing that Rufus would'n't restart the program, Cid joined Cloud and gave them the Tiny Bronco. Later he finally got to go into space, and saw why Shera had stayed in the rocket years before. He then came to appriciate her a lot more.
Yuffie Kisaragi
Materia Hunter
Weapon:Origami(the throwing knife thing, not paper craft)
Yuffie is a young ninja from Wutai. She joins Cloud for his Materia, which gets her into big trouble, for she actually steals it. After giving it back she decided to be good until the end of the adventure. She also faces her father in the tower of Wutia, he forces her to continue the journey. To find Yuffie drive your car through the forest between the Gonga Area and Cosmo Canyone until you fight her, she is very easy to defeat. After the fight go talk to her, DO NOT SAVE or she will run away if you do. Talk to her and answer the questsions like this: Do not rematch, say you are afraid of her power, tell her to wait, tell her you need her.
Vincent Valentine
Job: none really, former Turk and creepy vampire guy if you wanna call it that

Description: Vincent is a very msytrious man. He has a very close tie with Sephiroth. Luceria, who he had a crush on as a Turk, was injected with Jenova cells by Hojo, and she was also carrying a child. Luceria suffered much pain and lose from this, so Vincent protested and Hojo shot him. Vincent was then subjected to Hojo's expiriments, bring him back to life as a vampire like human that could change into different monsters. Hojo then put him to sleep in the Nibelheim Mansion Basement. Many events happened while he was asleep, including the birth of Sephiroth, the child of Luceria. Cloud awakes Vincent, who decides to go out for revenge against Hojo with them. He also went out to stop Sephiroth, for he felt that he could have stopped this a long time ago. To get Vincent to join your party, once in the Shrina Masion Basement, go through a door to the left in a purple hallway and open the center coffin. Vincent will awake and then you should ask him about Sephiroth, then he'll go back to sleep. Awake him again and ask him why he's there, he'll go back to sleep and thats when you should leave the room, he will meet you back in the hallway and join you.
Sephiroth
Job: Former best SOLDIER, now world ending insano

Description: Sephiroth was the best SOLDIER ever, but he later learned about his past, which was a bad thing for the world. It turns out he as made to be the best SOLDIER, made with Jenova cells as a test subject. Upon finding Jenova at Nibelhiem it was thought that he was killed somehow, but he returned with a mission. He was the carry out the Jenova reunion, which would also pretty much mean the end of the world as well. He got the black materia and summoned meteor, which only Aeris could stop with Holy. Sephiroth saw this and killed Aeris off, but could never see that she could stop him even in death

Final Fantasy Seven is possibly one of the best RPGs in existence, which a capturing plot, incredible character development, and an awe-inspiring setting. A man by the name of Cloud takes refuge with a group of terrorists called AVALANCHE as he runs from a past which he tried to understand through a decent eighty hours of gameplay. The love triangle and relationships that escalate in this game provide one of the top plots that I’ve had the pleasure of playing through. In fact, it was so amazing that most people who have played it can’t stand the fact that it ended.
Cloud, a former member of SOLDIER, an organization in a corporation by the name on Shinra, tries to run from his past, however his many friends which he gains along the way through the game eventually force him to face it. Not only them, but his old hero, Sephiroth, has been changed into a lethal creature who will stop at nothing to get power. Sephiroth, host of a major portion of his emotional problems, causes nothing but more of the same problems as Cloud tries to stop Sephiroth and the Shinra corporation from destroying the world with their ignorance.
I haven’t played it in quite a while, so the plot is rather hazy, but I haven’t forgotten the general idea that it conveyed. I’ll never ever forget the characters and their unique perceptions on the things that happened to them throughout the game, and that was reason enough for me to play again... which I’ll probably do soon.
