Lunar 2: Eternal Blue

Lunar: Eternal Blue

Ok, Lunar 2 comes out this winter, but if it was like Lunar:SSSC it'll be delayed a long time, so you gotta wait.

for now here is a review of the Sega CD version from Ghaleon

  • Lunar Two: Eternal Blue was probably the best RPG you could play on a system back in the SNES and Genesis days. The plot seemed the traditional hero rises from the ashes to destroy a godlike image that the Japanese fancy so much. However at closer glance, there are relationships blooming throughout the game. Betrayal, deception, and all of the juicy stuff appears in this. As Hiro, our main character, aptly named, dreams of adventuring to the corners of Lunar while living with his grandfather Gwyn, one day a light appears in the Blue Spire. This Spire was created as a transportation network to the Blue Star, and on that fateful day, Hiro goes to investigate this light.
  • From here, Hiro is asked by Lucia, an emotionless princess with powers similar to the Goddess Althena’s, to protect her and show her around the planet so that she might find Althena. Through this journey, wonderful and lovable characters are met and have their own side plots that are touching in their own ways. Most cool of these characters, in my opinion, is a beast-man under Althena’s employment by the name of Lord Leo. Awesome character.
  • This is only the Sega CD version of Lunar Two: Eternal Blue. The remake, much like Lunar: The Silver Star’s remake this summer, is due out this winter. And since I thought Lunar Two for Sega CD was even better than the remade Lunar One, I have a strong feeling that the sequel to Lunar: SSSC will far surpass its predecessor.
