Chocobo's Dungeon 2
Chocobo's Dungeon 2 is a RPG that tries to revive the item-finding RPG. Basically what it's about is going into random dungeons and finding rare items while porgessing in a story. The story starts with Chocobo being dragged along on a treasure hunt by his greedy item hunting friend Mog. In their journeys they meet Shiroma, a white mage and human. A village near by, which is made entirely of a population of Final Fantasy creatures, distrusts all humans and think Shiroma is a threat and blames strange events on her. The strange events revolve around the dungeons outside of the village. With the help of Cid, Mog, Shiroma, and others Chocobo sets out to find the mystory of the dungeons and take care of the dangers threatening the town. This game is really geared towards little kids by the looks of the graphics, but it's REALLY hard. You'll find your self being kicked out of dungeons often and lossing all of your items. If you're a die hard Chocobo and Final Fantasy fan, you still may want to get it. Otherwise renting it and seeing if you like it would be a good idea.
Characters
Chocobo
The famous yellow bird is the main character of the game. He can't talk, so he communicates through squeaks, which everyone can understand. You will pretty much always control Chocobo as your head dungeon hunter.
Mog
Mog is very greedy and thinks about money all of the time. He is the one who always wants to look in dungeons for treasure. He doesn't trust humans most of the time like all of the other villagers. As a companion he is ok to have along for extra attack power.
Shiroma
Shiroma is a white mage that is distrusted by many because she's a human. Her only friend since childhood is Chubby Chocobo, and then Chocobo when he shows up. Something is strange about her, and Bahamut knows that she is somehow tied in with the dungeon being around. She is a great companion to have along in a dungeon because if you get low on HP she casts healing spells on you once per floor.
Cid
Cid is an old guy who is a master of machines. He always works with his machines in his tower. When the Imps kick him out Chocobo helps him defeat them, so Cid owes Chocobo and helps him out on the journey with his machines. Cid is ok to have along for some extra attack power, and the Cid Tank kinda helps in the Imp boss fight.
Chubby Chocobo
This fat white chocobo owns the village item shop and is Shiroma's friend. He isn't the bravest guy or the most active.
Bahamut
The king of dragons only provides aid to those he sees is worthy. He also sees that something links Shiroma with the dungeons that have suddenly appeared. He helps you out from time to time.
The Black Mages
The Black Mages of the village are named Biggs, Wedge, Jessie, and the Head Master. They do tests and give you helpful items. The lab also gives you access to enemy data. Black Mages can also be enemies in dungeons.
Imps
These weak little purple guys are harmless alone, but when the team up and jump in robotic suits, they can be a major threat. They get the power to take over Cid's tower and use these machines. When they combine with these robot tank suits they are called Imp Robo's and are very hard to beat.
Ben and Mo the Behemoths
These guys hang out in the village and provide you the stuff you need for the Titan statue event. If you find a Behemoth in a dungeon, be warned that they are very strong.
Mrs. Bomb
Mrs. Bomb has three little bomb kids and is nice in nature, but distrusts Shiroma. She provides housing for Mog and also for Chocobo when he's not staying with Shiroma.
Chef Tonberry
Chef Tonberry runs the village restaurant, which often houses a drunken Malboro. If you meet Tonberrys in dungeons be warned that they have high attack power.
Goblins
These guys run around in dungeons and pick on any defensless Guz. They have low attack power and defense but if they level up into a Dark Goblin watch out.
Golems
A monster of stone that have a very good defense, be careful when attacking. If you are low on HP you can easily out run a Golem because they are slow.
