Well I read an ad in the paper that the Oneida Casino was having a Big Balloon Parade for their 5th anniversary and Richard Petty was going to be grand marshal and Mike and Jamie Skinner would be in it too and after they would sign autographs at the casino. I had to go. I mean its the "King" Once again the problem of this being on a Monday and me working arose. Well I got that day off too. It was July 5, 1999. Well the time wasnt really set because of the parade but it would be around 5 pm. I was gonna leave around 3 pm but since they had to block off some roads for the parade I had to leave around 1:30 pm. I got down there. Ended up missing my turn but it was no problem and I ended up getting to where I was supposed to be but there was a ton of traffic. It sucked so bad. It took about 20 minutes to get 2 miles. Finally I got to the casino. Took forever to find a spot to park too. Well I went inside asked at the information booth where the autograph signing would take place they told me and I went to get in line. There was around 75 people in front of me. I got in line and after a while people started getting in line. There must have been over 500 people there when I ended up leaving. Well finally someone said that they saw Petty come up in the car he was in the parade with. It was around 4 pm. Then a bit later I saw the car with Mike Skinner come in and I saw Mike and I was like "Who is the cute guy next to im ah i hope thats Jamie"...lmao. Well I had never really seen Jamie before. I knew he was two years older than me but didnt really know anything else about him and didnt have anything for him to sign either. Well the first time I had seen him I thought he was not very cute at all but my friend Meagan was like "hes a hottie" So I kept saying I was gonna get my pic taken with him. Well as the line moved up they had Richard Petty first. There was a security guard standing down front and people were having him take their pics with Richard so I had to do that too. I gave him my camera and waited for my turn. I had two things for him to sign and although u were only supposed to have them sign one thing I had him sign two. Then I got my pic taken with him. I look like a freaking fat cow and a dork in that pic. Ugh I hate it. Well next was Mike Skinner. He was in the middle so I couldnt get my pic with him and the security guard had given me my camera back when I told him I wanted my pic with Jamie. Well I was trying to tell Mike what a good job he did in the race in Daytona cuz he finished 4th but I couldnt spit it out. I kinda stumbled. Finally I spit it out. He must have thought dork but when I think of him I think jerk especially after what he said after that race about Bobby Labonte. Mike signed one of those driver handouts the drivers had. I had a card for him to sign but I didnt have him sign that. Well last was Jamie. *sighs* He looked good to me at the time. Well I was so cheery. I was like. "Hi Jamie." "thanks Jamie" after he signed the autograph. He didnt have anything of is to sign so he was signing his dads driver handout card thingys which looks kinda dumb with his signature on his dads pic. So then I was like ah Can i get a pic. Hes like sure. I gave the security guy my camera back and he took a pic of me with Jamie. Ah. So I was like "Thank u so much Jamie." He must have thought "Major dork." lmao..While I had been standing in line and taking pics of them he kept looking at me. At that time he probably thought shes cute or shes a dork. After having my pic taken with him he must have thought major dork. Well I didnt really get any good pics of Mike or Richard but I did for Jamie. So that was my latest experience meeting Nascar guys. I met my favorite little hottie driver Dale Jr now I need to meet Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt as my two favorite drivers in Winston cup right now.
