"Katie?" Taylor Hanson shyly tapped one of his best friends on the shoulder.
Katie spun around and faced her friend. "Yeah Tay?" She asked.
"Do you want to dance?" He asked shyly.
"Sure," Katie replied nervously as she wrapped her arms around his neck, while 'From This Moment On' by Shania Twain played. Katie and Taylor had been close friends ever since they were seven and they each had a crush on each other, though they were both too shy to admit it. That night, Taylor's friend, Melissa was throwing Isaac, Taylor, and Zac a goodbye party, since they would be kicking off their one-year tour in Europe next week. Katie and Taylor held each other tightly, knowing they wouldn't be seeing each other for at least half a year, until Hanson's next show in Tulsa.
Nearing the end of the song, Taylor whispered quietly into Katie's ear. "I really like you a lot." He confessed his feelings for her.
"I like you too, Taylor." She whispered back.
"I can't believe we've been friends for all these years and now I'm leaving." He paused for a moment. "Katie, if I would've asked you out a couple months ago, what would you have said?" He asked shyly.
"Yes." She replied
"I wish I would have, but now I'm leaving, and we're all out of time to do stuff." She thought about how true that was. It seemed like the time hid somewhere and by the time they noticed it was missing it was already past, and they realized they hadn't been together long enough, talked as much as they should have or done as much as they could have. And now they were all out of time.
At that moment a new song began to play. It was 'Thinking Of You' by Hanson. Taylor quietly sang the song softly into Katie's ear. "No matter what you do, no matter where you go, I'll be thinking of you." He sang sweetly as they danced. "You'll be on my mind all the time…."
