Part 2: Chapter 11

The seven friends stood there, memorizing each other, not wanting to leave. “OK,” Rebekah uttered, breaking the silence, “so we’ll call you guys. And you’ll call us.”

“Yep,” agreed Isaac.

“I love you guys!” cried Zac. He pulled his brothers and the girls in for a huge group hug. No one wanted to stop hugging except Kristen, who was being suffocated by Taylor’s CKBe cologne. Finally, the hug loosened and Kristen coughed.

“We’d better go,” Rebekah mumbled.

“Yeah,” decided Katie.

“Bye,” Isaac said, “say ‘bye’ to Tim for us, OK?”

“OK, bye,” the girls said, walking toward the curtain.

“See ya later!” Zac called to them happily.

The girls laughed, “OK, Zac, sure thing!” Rebekah answered. They walked out the curtain and out of the park. “It seems like a dream.”

Katie nodded. She missed all three Hansons already. She wished she had more time to get to know the younger Hansons. They all seemed really cute. Rebekah quietly hummed “I Will Come to You.” Katie met her favorite music group. Not only that, but she was good friends with them. Her life was changed forever. She could now die a happy death. She laughed to herself. It sounded like something Rebekah would say. “So what happened with you and Ike?” she questioned.

“Nothing. Unfortunately, nothing happened between you and Taylor either.”

Katie shook her head, “No, not unfortunately.”

Rebekah laughed out loud. “I know; I’m just kidding. Hey, Katie, do you remember Kristen’s face when she saw Hanson?”

Katie finally giggled, “Yeah, but remember the park?”

Rebekah burst out laughing, “That was hilarious!”

“I liked when it started raining really hard,” Sarah said.

“Oh yeah,” agreed Katie. “And kick the can.”

“I liked going on the Ferris wheel with Tay. We should do that again when we go to Tulsa,” added Kristen.

“Yeah, when,” Rebekah said sarcastically.

“They might be home for Christmas,” Kristen mentioned hopefully.

“Then we can open presents with them,” exclaimed Sarah.

“Bekah,” Kristen said, “do you think we’ll ever go to Hanson’s house?”

“No,” Rebekah replied honestly.

“Why not?” questioned Sarah.

“They’re always busy.”

“Oh well,” said Kristen, “at least we have them as friends. Who really cares if we go to their house or not?”

“Yeah,” Katie agreed and, quoting Hanson, she said, “It’s a good thing.”
