Rebekah, Kristen, and Sarah followed Ike to Zac. With her bag balanced on her knee, Rebekah searched for the Kleenex she knew she put in there. She finally located the tissue and handed it to Isaac.
"Thanks," he smiled at her. At least most of Theresa's friends were sane. Not bad looking either, he thought, remember how cute the seven girls looked with their two french braids.
Zac snatched the Kleenex and patted his badly sliced finger.
Kristen gazed at it. "Theresa!" she scolded. "Why'd you do that?"
"I don't know," squeaked Theresa innocently. She tossed the bloody scissors into her bad and zipped it up hastily.
Zac moved to a nearby sink with Hope close at his heals. Knowing no one would trust Theresa to accompany them, she knocked Kristen in the shoulder. "Follow him," she hissed. Kristen had no problem with that and hurried after the lovebirds.
"Why would the concert by cancelled?" Rebekah wondered. She saw no reason to break thousands of girls' hearts because of Theresa.
Isaac looked surprised at the question. He glanced warily at Theresa. "There's a death threat. It's not safe."
As a firm believer in things being fair (or at least in her favor), Sarah suggested, "Why can't we just lock Theresa up?"
"No!" Theresa objected, "I'll be good." Isaac wanted to believe her, but even he couldn't miss the evil glimmer in her eye.
"Will she?" Isaac asked Rebekah.
Her stomach flip-flopped. Isaac was practically trusting her with the safety of his fans. On the other hand, Theresa was trusting that she would be able to see her second Hanson concert in two hours. "Um...who knows," she finally replied. Isaac looked disappointed. Rebekah turned away in despair. Wrong answer.
Without realizing it, Sarah came to her rescue. "I believe Theresa." Right answer. Isaac smiled at Sarah. Although Rebekah was jealous, she struggled to shake it off. Sarah was ten. She still had a chance.
Taylor calmly made his way down the hall, peakingin doors while he chatted with his three admirers.
"Does Ike really want to cancel the show?" Erin questioned.
"We've never gotten a death threat before, at least not one aimed at the fans. He's just nervous." Katie cast a sideways glance at Amanda to see if she caught how Taylor didn't give a straight answer. Amanda just stared at Taylor, treasuring every second she had with him.
"Theresa wouldn't do that," Erin continued to insist.
"Yeah, Kristen might, but Theresa's not like that," Katie put in.
"I hope you're right," said Taylor. They found Walker on stage, behind the curtain playing with Isaac's guitar. An Australian man with a shaved head tightened some screws on Zac's drums. Walker looked up when his son entered with three girls entered. "Should they be back here," Walker wondered, a knowing smile under his thick mustache. Amanda giggled, and Taylor turned red.
"Dad, where's the first aid kit?"
Walker inspected his son. "Why?"
"Zac just cut his finger," Taylor answered quickly.
"Or Theresa cut it for him," Amanda mumbled. Erin and Katie's heads snapped in Walker's direction to see if he heard.
"Tay," Walker said warningly.
"And Ike needs to talk to you about..." he paused, searching for the right words.
Picking up on Taylor's idea, Katie finished, "About something important." With a thankful glance at Katie, Taylor nodded.
Walker set the guitar down. "I'll just ask Ike what's going on then. Peter can show you where the first aid kit is since he put it somewhere." Still convinced that Taylor liked the three girls, he put his hand on his son's shoulder. "Go get 'em, Tiger."
You're so weird," Taylor said quickly.
Peter, the Australian man, grinned. "Alright. What do you need from the first aid kit?" he questioned in a heavy Australian accent.
"Uh, bandaids and...just a bandaid," Taylor responded. Peter nodded and left the stage by a fold in the curtain behind him.
"So, this is the stage!" Amanda breathed. She lifted the heavy curtain in front of Taylor's keyboards, gazing out at the empty seats.
"Put it down!" shrieked Peter, coming back onto the stage. "Get out now. Walker told me to throw you out if you got into anything. I have to ask you to leave--now."
Taylor shrugged. He gaze each girl a hug, and they left. On their way out, they grabbed Rebekah, Kristen, Sarah, and Theresa. After they left, Zac fell into a chair, relieved that he and his girlfriend, Hope, were safe now.
Without warning, Theresa and Kristen ran back into the room and each grabbed Hope by an arm. They sprinted out of the room as fast as they could, slamming each door behind them to slow Hanson down. Their friends ran just ahead of them. The moment they stepped out into the parking lot, a huge semi came toward them at top speed. It hit all eight of them with ease, riding over them. Then, to finish off the job, a steamroller flattened them to the pavement.
Zac burst out into the parking lot also and watched his girlfriend and fansbecome human pancakes. He waited for the anger and sadness to come, but it never did. So he went back inside and did his concert.
You might be a little shocked at how the story ended. Well, I didn't really like writing this story. I'm sorry for those of you who liked it. I already started another story which is called, "Sliding Into Home." The rest of the posse seems to like it, so you should go check it out! Stay cool!
