Chapter 8

The next morning Theresa was the first one up (once again as usual). She looked at the clock on the nightstand in between the two beds. It read 9:00, which meant she'd gotten a mere one hour of sleep the previous night, but that was just dandy with her, because she was wide awake and as hyper as can be. She realized that Amanda had brought her 'seventeen' and 'ym' magazines, so Theresa decided to read those to pass the time. Back in Ike, Tay, and Zac's room Zac had just awoken from a pleasant sleep. He noticed Tay sleeping on the other king sized bed, so Zac went to the fridge, got out some whipped cream and a feather, to pull off his oldest, yet favorite trick. He put the creamy white whipped cream on Taylor's hands and tickled his face with a feather. Taylor reached up to his face to wipe away whatever was tickling it. As soon as he felt the whipped cream touch his face, he awoke with a jolt.

"Zac!" He yelled. "Aren't you getting sick of this gay trick?" Taylor asked annoyed. "You sassafrassing loser!" Taylor kicked the crisp white sheets off of himself and went to the sink to rinse off his hands and face. While he was doing that, Zac cautiously walked into the other bedroom that Ike had been sleeping in. He knew he shouldn't wake Ike up, for fear that Ike would kill him, but Zac just wanted to have a little fun… Zac laid down on the other side of Isaac's bed, with his arm propping his head up.

"Hey baby." Zac whispered to Ike in a sexy voice. "It's me, Rebekah." He added.

"Zac, shut the fudge up, and let me frickin sleep!" Ike yelled at his little brother. Zac immediately left, laughing threw himself on his bed, and turned the TV on. Taylor took a quick shower, then got dressed in a pair of velvet maroon pants and a tight white T-shirt (which was becoming his new favorite outfit). Taylor suddenly had a craving for mountain dew, so he left the room, to go to the soda machine. He'd forgotten about the squealing girls from the previous night, so he was very surprised when he saw two girls sleeping in the hallway. One of the girls who appeared to be fifteen woke up when the door behind Taylor slammed. She jumped up and examined the creature that had awakened her. Her eyes went wide and her jaw dropped. She ran off down the hallway screaming insanely. The other girl looked like she was sixteen, was nearly as tall as Taylor, had brown eyes, and shoulder length brownish-reddish hair. She tiredly stood up and looked at Taylor. He looked right back at her.

"Um, hi." The girl said. "I'm Erin." She introduced herself.

"Nice to meet you, Erin." He said shaking her hand. "I'm Taylor."

"Yeah, I know…" Erin trailed off shyly.

"I was just going to get myself a soda. Would you like one?" He asked her.

"I'd love one!" Erin exclaimed, excited that Taylor Hanson was asking HER if she wanted a soda.

"Okay." She replied and the two of them walked to the end off the hall where the soda machine was.

"I'm sorry about my friend." Erin apologized for her friend that ran off screaming. "Her name is Lauren and she's soo obsessed with you guys. She made me sleep up on this floor with her, so she might catch a glimpse of you guys." Erin explained.

"So, you're not obsessed?"

"Naw, I'm not, let's just say I'm dedicated."

"That's good." Taylor said feeding the machine a one-dollar bill. He pushed the mountain dew button and one popped out.

"What kind of soda do you want?" He asked Erin

"I'll have a mountain dew, too." Erin answered. He put another dollar bill and he handed her the ice-cold soda.

"Thank you." Erin said politely. Taylor looked at her. She appeared to be a very kind and caring person. He wanted to know more about her.

"So, do you live here in Milwaukee?" he asked her.

"Um…no. I live in Waukesha. It's about twenty-five minutes from here." Erin answered just as politely as before.

"So, how old are you?"

"I'm sixteen." She answered.

"Cool. You drive?"

"No, I don't have my license yet, but I have my temps."

"Cool, I have my temps too, but no license until March." He said. "So, were you at our concert last night?"

"Yeah, me and Lauren went together. We had 8th row. You guys did a really awesome job." Erin complimented.

"Thanks." Taylor replied modestly. "Hey, are you doing anything today?"

"NO!" She quickly exclaimed. "I mean, um, no, I'm not." She answered calmly and slowly.

"You wanna hang out with us today?"

Erin's heart was racing. Taylor, asking her to spend the day with him. "Who's we?" Erin asked.

"Ah, me, Zac, Ike, Amanda, Rebekah, Theresa, and Katie." Tay answered.

"Who are those girls?" Erin asked cautiously.

"Ahh, some friends we met yesterday before the concert." He told her, not quite sure if he should tell her that Rebekah and Theresa were going out with Ike and Zac.

"How old are they?" Erin asked curiously.

"I think 15 and 16."

"Oh, but anyway, yeah, sure I'd love to hang out with you guys."

"Okay, why don't you go back to your room and get dressed." Taylor reminded her that she was still in her pajamas, which were red plaid pajama pants and a black Joe Boxer T-shirt. "Then come back up to our room in about an hour. Then we can leave."

"Okay," she agreed. "See you in an hour."

"Yep, see ya!" Taylor finished, as he walked to Katie, Theresa, Rebekah, and Amanda's hotel room, while Erin walked back down to hers. Katie, Rebekah and Amanda had woken up at this time and were now watching music videos.

"Guess what guys?" Taylor asked as he opened their door with the key Amanda had given him last night. "I made a friend at the soda machine. She's really cool."

"SHE?!?" Amanda yelled. She realized what she had done and quickly changed her tone of voice. "Um, so tell us about her."

"Well, her name is Erin, she's 16, and she lives in Waukesha. She's going to be hanging with us today." Taylor informed them.

"What?!? You loser!" Theresa tried to sound sarcastic. She figured this girl probably liked Taylor and didn't want her friends to fight over him. Taylor looked hurt by Theresa's comment, so she added, "Just kidding Tay, you know I love you." She finished jokingly.

"Good." Taylor replied smiling. "So, I'll give you guys an hour to get ready, then come up to our room and we can all leave."

"So who's all coming now?" Rebekah asked him annoyed.

"Just you four, me, Ike, Zac, and Erin."

"Okay." Rebekah agreed. Taylor left and went back to his room. "I get the shower first!" Rebekah exclaimed, suddenly wide awake. Theresa, Katie and Amanda were fine with this, since they were engrossed with the music videos they were watching.

Back up in Ike, Tay, and Zac's room, Ike was already showered, and dressed in baggy jeans and a plain white T-shirt. Zac was lying on his bed watching cartoons.

"Zac!" Taylor started. "Go shower and get dressed! We're leaving in less than an hour."

"Okay." Zac replied as he climbed off his bed and headed towards the shower.

Back in the girls' room, the four of them were getting showered and dressed. They made themselves look all purdy for their guys. Finally an hour had passed and the girls headed up to Ike, Tay, and Zac's room. They knocked on the door and Zac answered it. His hair was dripping wet from his shower and he was wearing orange pants and a black T-shirt.

"Hey hon!" Theresa greeted him.

"Hey!" He answered giving her a big bear hug. He ushered the four girls into the messy room.

"Hey guys." Katie said to Isaac and Taylor.

"Hi, how are you?" Isaac asked her.

"Cool."

"Get a good night's sleep last night?" He asked the girls.

"NO!" Amanda and Katie exclaimed in unison.

"How come?" Taylor interjected curiously.

"Ahem, 'some people' wouldn't shut up last night!" Katie exclaimed giving Theresa and Rebekah dirty looks.

"Shut up!" Theresa yelled at them. Theresa was getting sick and tired of hearing Katie and Amanda whine.

"Uh, so anyway," Zac said breaking the silence. "Where are we going today?" Everyone looked at everyone else questioningly. Suddenly there was a knock on the door.

"That must be Erin." Taylor said getting up from his chair and went to answer the door. Sure enough it was Erin.

"Hi, Taylor." She greeted him, shyly stepping into the room.

"Everybody, this is Erin." Taylor introduced her to his six curious friends. "Erin's going to be hanging out with us today."

"Hi, everyone." Erin said.

"Hi, I'm Amanda." Amanda introduced herself.

"I'm Theresa."

"I'm Katie."

"I'm Rebekah."

"Hi." Erin said, unsure if these girls really wanted her around.

"Hey, I'm Ike."

"I'm Zac."

"Nice to meet you." There was a sudden silence

Taylor broke it by saying "Well what should we do today?" Taylor looked at his watch. Only six more hours until they had to leave for Detroit. "Come on guys, we don't have much time."

"How about we go to McDonalds for lunch, and we can go to the IMAX theater-"Titanica" is playing." Rebekah suggested.

"Okay." Everyone else agreed.

"We have to go tell our parents we're leaving." Ike said.

"Yeah." Taylor agreed.

"I'll go. Hey, Bek wanna come with me?" Ike asked.

"Sure." Rebekah and Isaac exited the room and walked down the hall to his parents' room. He knocked on their door. Mackie opened it. He looked up at Isaac and Rebekah, who towered over him.

"Hey, Ikey. Mornin'."

"Hey, Mackster. How are you?"

"Good." Mackie told him tiredly.

"Where's mom and dad?"

"They're in the room." Mackie told him as Bek and Ike walked inside.

"Hey mom and Dad." Isaac greeted them. Both of his parents were sitting down at a table looking over some papers.

"Hey Ike. Good morning."

"Morning, um we're going to go sightseeing and stuff."

"Okay. Be careful. You might attract a crowd." She joked with him. "Hi." She greeted Rebekah, meeting her for the first time. "What's your name?"

"Rebekah."

"Yeah, mom, um, this is my girlfriend, Rebekah." His mom gave him a look that plainly read 'Are you sure you'll have time for a girlfriend?' He simply brushed it off. "Well, um, we're gonna get going now." Ike finished.

"How are you getting there?" She asked her son.

"Can we take the van?" Ike asked.

"Sure, just don't wreck it and don't get lost."

"We won't. Besides we have five girls coming with us that live around here."

"Who's all going with you?" Diana asked cautiously.

"Me, Zac, Tay, Bek, Katie, Erin, Theresa, and Amanda." Isaac informed her.

"I haven't met those girls. Who are they?" She asked curiously.

Rebekah answered her. "Theresa, Katie, and Amanda are my friends."

"Yeah, Theresa and Zac are going out. And Erin met Taylor this morning." Isaac added.

"Okay." Diana agreed. "Have fun!"

"Okay, thanks mom."

Yeah, remember to be back at four, because we have to leave for Detroit at five." She reminded him.

"Okay, bye." Isaac said.

"Bye." Diana finished as Rebekah and Isaac left the room.

"Let's go guys!" Isaac exclaimed as he and Rebekah entered his, Tay, and Zac's room. "We're taking the van." The eight of them grabbed their belongings and went out to the white van in the parking lot. Isaac unlocked the doors and jumped into the drivers seat. Rebekah sat up front next to him. Amanda quickly climbed into the furthest back seat.

"Tay, you can come sit by me." Amanda flirted, patting the seat next to her. He climbed in and sat next to her. Erin then climbed in next, so she could also sit next to Taylor. Theresa, Zac, and Katie sat in the middle seat and the eight of them took off for McDonalds.
