"So…what are we gonna do now?" Theresa asked, looking at her watch, which read 12:41.
"I don't know, but it's too late to go out somewhere." Tay replied.
"Yeah…" Dawn trailed off. Nick, hating being bored, grabbed the remote off the nightstand and flipped on the TV.
"What do you guys wanna watch?" Nick asked.
"MTV!" Dawn and Theresa exclaimed in unison, both secretly hoping their favorite video, "I'll Never Break Your Heart" would be on. Nick turned MTV on, and 'Too Close' by Next was on.
"Hey! This is one of my favorite videos!" Howie exclaimed.
"Yeah, wasn't this on your countdown on MTV?" Theresa asked, knowing it was. Her and Dawn watched it so many times that summer; they knew every video's place on the countdown by heart.
"Thirty-nine" Dawn quietly whispered. Theresa heard her, and burst out laughing, knowing they were both thinking the exact same thing. All nine guys looked at the two of them as if they were absolutely insane.
"Inside joke." They said in unison. After Dawn and Theresa had settled down, the room was in dead silence. Theresa, always unable to handle silence, burst out laughing. Dawn laughed at her.
"Stupid, stupid you." Dawn said to her friend, stating one of her favorite phrases.
"Stop rubbishing!" Theresa shot back one of HER favorite phrases, while throwing a handful of popcorn at Dawn.
After watching countless boring videos, they decided to play truth or dare.
"Okay, who wants to start?" Brian asked.
"I will." Aaron shot up. "Nick. I dare you to….walk down to a room-not one of ours, and knock on the door, and ask in a baby voice: 'Where's my mommy? I need a diaper change!' And pretend to start crying and run back here.
"But what if I pick truth?" Nick asked.
"Well…" Aaron began.
"Well, I think Aaron's a little too young to play this game." Howie said, trying to be mature (as you can see it wasn't working.)
Well, then I'll start." Nick said trying to get out of Aaron's dare.
"Okay." Everyone agreed that Nick would start.
"Okay…Aaron, truth or dare?" Nick asked his little brother.
"Dare…I'm no wuss!" Aaron answered.
"Okay, I dare you to kiss Dawn." Nick said slyly, knowing that his bro had a crush on Dawn. Dawn sank back into the pillows on her bed, furiously blushing.
"Maybe Aaron is too young to play this game Brian interjected.
"Can I take a chicken?" Aaron asked with his face turning a deeper shade of red.
"Fine." Nick said. "But you can only have one." Aaron suddenly had a look of relief on his face.
"Aaron, it's your shot." Zac told him.
"Taylor, truth or dare?" Aaron asked him.
"Truth" Taylor answered.
"Okay, why didn't you brush your hair today?" Aaron asked him. Everyone broke into a fit of laughter. Taylor made an angry face and quit the game. Then he went into the bathroom and came out with brushed hair. Everyone decided not to make him madder by commenting on it.
"I guess I'll go now." Theresa said, breaking the silence. "I dare Brian." As she said this, she shot him a quick and wide-eyed look. "To go with Dawn into your bedroom, and yeah… I don't think I have to finish." Dawn and Brian just kind of looked around the room and everyone seemed to have devilish grins on their faces.
"Okay." Brian said awkwardly as he jumped up, grabbed Dawn's hand and quickly left the room.
"Wow, that was quick." AJ commented. "I'll go next. I dare Kevin and Howie to go listen outside their door."
"Okay." Howie and Kevin answered in unison. After a second of silence Theresa, Zac, AJ, Ike, Tay, and Aaron bolted out the door.
