The teams were picked starting with Brian and Nick as captains. They tossed a coin and Nick got to pick first. "How about AJ." He said.
"Um, let me think here," Brian said, in a very peculiar voice. "I'm going to pick one of our guests. Let's see, Dawn Wesenberg come on down!" Dawn was so excited Brian actually wanted her on his team. Finally the teams were picked-Brian, Dawn, Isaac, Taylor and Kevin, against Nick, AJ, Howie, Theresa and Zac. By that time it was time for Hanson and the Backstreet Boys to get ready for the concert.
"Come back in about two hours." Isaac said. "By then they should let you in the doors.
"Okay," Dawn and Theresa said. "What do you wanna do?" Theresa asked Dawn.
"Um, let's see if Jessie, Kristin, Kim, Stephanie, and Keri are waiting outside the Marcus Amphitheater." Dawn suggested.
"Sure." Theresa replied. When Dawn and Teri got to the building, sure enough they were waiting outside talking and squealing.
"Dawn! Theresa!" Kristin screamed.
"We heard you last night on the radio. How did the conference-thing-a-ma-bob go?" Jessica asked.
"Okay," Theresa replied. "We were supposed to play basketball, but we didn't have enough time."
"Did you guys get to see them, yet?" Dawn asked.
"Barely, with a bodyguard for each one of them, it was kind of hard to see them." Jessie replied. "Did you talk to Brian?" she asked curiously.
"Yes!" Dawn squealed. "I got to sit by him, and he picked me first to be on his basketball team."
"That's not all he did!" Theresa commented. "He was shooting glances at you left and right."
"Really?" Dawn said pretending like she didn't know.
"You guys are sooo lucky!!!" Jessie replied.
"How did it go with Hanson?" Kristin asked.
"Not too good, they were being normal." Theresa joked. The 8 girls talked for awhile, until Dawn realized what time it was.
"Oh my gosh! We have to go be let in! We'll talk to ya later."
"See ya!" Almost everyone said. Dawn and Theresa quickly ran around the back of the building where they were supposed to be let in. The doors weren't open quite yet.
"This is sooo exciting" Theresa said with lots of enthusiasm.
"I know." Dawn replied. "And I think they actually like us, and I'm very proud of you, Theresa for staying so calm around Hanson."
"Thank you, it was very hard." Teri admitted.
"Do you think Brian really likes me though?" Dawn asked.
"You bet. What about Zac, Ike, and Tay, do you think they liked me?" Theresa questioned Dawn back.
"Um," Dawn started to tell Theresa how much she thought they did, when someone cleared their throat from behind them. It was one of their stage managers, saying that they could come in. Both girls started to blush.
"This way." The tall man said.
"Maybe he didn't hear us." Theresa whispered to Dawn, as they walked though the door.
"God, I hope not." Dawn replied. The man whose name tag read 'Bill' lead them into a small narrow room with wooden chairs in it.
"If you would just wait here until a loud buzz comes on, and then just walk through the door at the right, you will be lead on stage and be told further instructions. Coppice?"
"Okay." Dawn replied.
"I hope this doesn't take…" Theresa started, but was cut off by a loud buzzer. "Why do I never get to finish my sentences?" Theresa wondered out loud.
"Because you talk too much." Dawn said. "I'm kidding. Don't worry. But anyways, do you think that buzzer was our cue to go on stage?"
"I don't know." Teri said. "But I think we should go out.
"Yeah, I guess so, I mean the worst thing that could happen is they wouldn't be dressed, and that wouldn't be bad at all!" Dawn said giggling. When the girls opened the door they found dressed Hanson and Backstreet Boys. Bill was talking to them, but Zac stopped him and he pointed at us. Bill turned around and excused himself quickly.
"I hope Bill didn't tell Brian and Zac what we said about them outside." Theresa said, slowly moving foreword towards the two bands.
"Me too." Dawn whispered back even quieter.
"You guys can take a seat stage left," Isaac instructed, breaking into a moment of silence. "People should start being let into the gates in a few minutes." The guys started to leave. Zac was walking slower and slower and stopped at where the girls were seated.
"So Bill told us how much you like me, Ike, and Tay." He said to Theresa. Theresa started blushing, but didn't say anything.
"He-he-he didn't say anything about me, did he?" Dawn stuttered, hesitantly.
"Not that I know of, but he was talking to Brian for awhile until I came over." This was not good for Dawn, cuz now Brian knew how much she liked him, and if he didn't like her it could be bad.
"Zac, come on! We have to go." A voice said from behind them. Everyone turned around, and it just so happened to be Taylor. Zac left and just as he did people started coming in.
"I wonder who their opening act will be?" Dawn wondered.
"Me too, but I hope it's not Jimmy Ray, or I'll literally walk out on stage and kick him in the ass. I don't even care how stupid I'll look, I just hate him sooooo…" suddenly the lights started to dim. "There I go, not finishing my sentences again!" Theresa complained. From the other side of the stage a figure appeared. Dawn recognized the music right away. It was a song called "Shake It" by Aaron Carter! Dawn and Theresa both LOVED Aaron Carter. He is Nick Carter's little bro. He was 11, and already had a great voice! He was really cute too! The Backstreet Boys and Hanson were waiting on the other side of the stage for their entrance. When Aaron finished, he walked off stage by Dawn and Theresa.
"You were awesome!" Dawn said.
"Thanks!" He said back, and casually gave Dawn and Teri hugs! "Maybe I'll see you guys backstage." He said.
"I sure hope so!" Theresa commented, as he walked off. Dawn started going ecstatic, until she turned around and saw Brian staring at her, and giving her a strange look, like he was upset or something was wrong. Dawn quickly calmed down, and they started singing a song both girls had never heard before, but it sounded like it was called "Baloney suckers!" No just kidding, it was called "She's the one" The Backstreet Boys and Hanson took turns singing songs.
"This is awesome!" Dawn screamed a little too loud.
"I love you, Tay, Ike, Zac, Nick, Brian, Kevin and AJ!" Theresa yelled.
"What about Howie?" Dawn asked.
"He's another story." Both girls laughed at Theresa's comment. Howie turned and shot a glance at them.
"I hope he doesn't know you said that about him," Dawn told Theresa.
"Oh, I hope he does." Theresa said. Both girls were in a fit of laughter, when Brian announced the last song. "It's almost over already." Theresa said.
"That sucks." Dawn also said.
"We are going to do a group song with Aaron Carter, and we have some guests sitting stage right, that we want to sing to. So, Dawn and Theresa, will you come on stage by us?" Brian said.
"Do you think he means us?" Theresa asked Dawn.
"I don't know. Do you see any other Dawn and Theresa's on stage?"
"I guess not!" Theresa said as the girls walked out on stage.
"We're going to sing "Always and Forever" a cappella." Howie announced. As the song started, Dawn thought how beautiful it was. Just then Brian got down on his knees in front of the girls. Dawn loved Brian soooo much, but she also liked Aaron. She thought both of them liked her, but Aaron was closer to her age, but she'd been gaga over Brian for so long.
"I like Nick!" Theresa suddenly burst out, but then covered her mouth instantly realizing what she'd just said, but also knowing that she liked Hanson too, and not mentioning them. "I'm strange! I'm Allen Strange!" She screamed louder than before. "Get me out of here." She whispered quietly to Dawn. "Before I do something more drastic than before." But Dawn didn't hear her, because she was in too much of a daze. She couldn't decide if she liked Aaron or Brian better. But before they knew it the song was over and the concert ended.
