ABOUT ME

About me in general

I am 26 years old and my birthday is June 23, 1979, which makes me a CANCER BABY OF '79!!:) I am a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I hold a degree in Early Childhood(Pre-Kindergarten through Third Grade). I am currently a Milwaukee Public School teacher. I was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, which makes me a cool-kid cuz I say stuff like "BUBBLER" (which for all you crazy people that would be a DRINKING FOUNTAIN...hee heee!!). I have one brother (Dave) and a sister-in-law (Kim) and one sister (Sarah).

I am an aunt 3 times--my neice Kathryn, nephew Benjamin, and my youngest neice Emily. I just got married on July 30th to my now husband Troy. We live in Milwaukee. My husband is a firefighter and currently in school to become a paramedic!

I have some very close friends and I want to mention them now! First off there is Sara. I have known Sara the longest and we have been through great times and sad times and hard times together. She was also a maid of honor in my wedding. Its a great feeling to know that I have a friend that will be there anytime I need her. And I hope that she feels the same way about me!

My friend Tina, who I met while going out with her boyfriend 5 years ago...which I didn't know we were dating the same person...I WOULD HAVE NEVER DONE THAT...but we both dumped the jerk and became really good friends, she was also a bridesmaid in our wedding.

My friend Katie, we met at a bar, but we were instant friends (just like the saying--just add water). We have known each other for a little over 5 years now.

I have two favorite animals and they aren't the usual pet dog or cat. My fave animals are a Horse and a Cow. Why you ask? Well I love going horseback riding and what better way to go horseback riding than on a horse. The Cow is my second favorite animal because the cow provides me with my absolutely, positively FAVORITE DRINK--MILK!!:) I just love milk. :)

My Favorite Things to do

I used to be into swing and lindy hop dancing, but now I am totally into Snowboarding. I am thinking about teaching lessons this year so I can have a free season pass....This winter I'll be on the slopes!! Another thing I have totally gotten into is Scrapbooking...it's an expensive habit, but fun!!

I also teach after school sports at my elementary school.

When I have a few moments to spare I am doing step aerobics or kick-boxing at the local high school to keep in shape!!

Places I have been to and always wanted to go to

I have been a couple places over the United States. I have never been across any oceans though. I have been to New York, go there a lot cuz of family. I have been there many times!! Also I went to NYC with my High School choir during my junior year--what a fun time!! I went to Washington, DC when I was kinda young because I don't really remember the trip all that much. I do remember that was the first time I ever saw my dad cry(we visited the wall-and my dad saw names of people he knew). I have also been to California 3 times. I went to Los Angeles with my choir Freshman year at high school. And the 2 other times was to San Diego!! That was a blast went at Christmas time and got to spend my Christmas at the Beach!!! I have also been to Mexico-well just Tijuana, but it's south of the boarder!!:-) I have also been to Ludington, Michigan. But thats the only part of Michigan I have been to..and you wonder how is that possible to get to Ludington without driving through Michigan..Well I took the Car Ferry from Manatowoc, Wisconsin to Ludington, Michigan. So I have been across Lake Michigan by boat too!! Cool huh?? I went to Arizona for Spring break my freshman year in college. I went to Atlanta, Georgia for a Christian Music Festival(Atlanta Fest)...this is going to be my yearly summertime trip. I had such a blast!:) Newest place to add to my list of travels would be Ironwood, Michigan, which is part of the upper penninsula. Its right on the boarder of Wisc. and Mich. That is where I went skiing with a group of friends.

I have finally been to Florida. I went there Spring Break of 1999 and 2000 and also to see a Florida State Football game in November of 1999. It was totally fun! I want to go back again! I can cross Florida off my list of places to visit though!! haa haa! Okay ciao!

I lived in Hershey, Pennsylvania during the summer of 1999. That was quite amazing. I was never away from my family for more than 2 weeks and last summer I was gone for a little over 3 months. I worked at a summer day camp. The air smelled of chocolate on the good days and sometimes when the direction of the wind would change you'd get a whiff of the fertilizer used in the fields....YUCK! I hope I will have the chance to go back to PA soon. I have to say living out there was wonderful!

Some places that I have always wanted to go to are:: I have always wanted to go to Germany and Austria and see where my ancestors came from:-) I have also wanted to go to Ireland and go hiking throughout the hills and mountains!! Also like to travel the world I guess... I want to see everything there is to the world!!!
