"The random toss....the only true justice. Let's see what justice had in store for YOU."

REAL NAME: HARVEY DENT

FIRST APPEARANCE: DETECTIVE COMICS #66 $2,000

Two Face is one of my favorite Batman villians, though I feel the make-up and characterization of Tommy Lee Jones's Two Face was poorly done. Two Face is another tragic villian, with an obsession to bring down the bat. Two Face bases his existence on duality, destiny and luck. His trademark coin is his decision maker, and often the deciding factor between life and death for his victims.

ORIGIN & HISTORY

Born Harvey Dent, Two Face was leading a fulfilled existence before he became a crazed villian. Harvey Dent was the District Attorney of Gotham City, and had done quite a good job of cleaning up the streets. During one of his court trials, Dent was prosecuting a criminal who was very embittered with Dent, and blamed him for his capture. During the hearing, the crime boss threw a panful of corrosive acid at Dent, which landed on half of the d.a's face. Dent was rushed to the hospital and underwent surgery. When the bandages came off, both the doctors and Dent were mortified by Dent's face(s). The left half of Harvey's face was disfigured, discolored, and even his hair had been dyed. Dent went into a fit of rage, and escaped the hospital. He resurfaced as Two Face.

DID YOU KNOW?

Bob Kane originally got the idea for Two Face from the famous Jeckyl & Hyde story.

In Batman Forever, when Batman and Robin swim to the Riddler's island stronghold, a red buoy in the background has the number "22" (two two's for Two Face) painted on it.
