WHO WANT$ TO BE A WILIONAIRE?

A TOKEN REVIEW

It's a popular truism that comedians perform for love, not money. However, this Comedy Festival Wil Anderson is turning that around, by talking about money. For love.

Research estimates the number of US millionaires will grow by 40% in the next 5 years, domestic fortunes are made and lost daily by so-called internet "day traders", and Bill Gates just added his 11th zero to his bank balance... ... it seems like it's getting easier and easier to be a millionaire, so Wil is going to prepare us all for the inevitable riches with some handy tips. A former journalist for the Financial Review, Wil is expertly qualified to give us the dirt on dough, the goss on the green, and the very latest in currency affairs.

Who Wants to be a Wilionnaire will definitely have you calling a friend, to enthuse about the acrobatic twists of Wil's sharp intellect, dissecting the new millennium greed.

Wil has earnt a solid reputation in the last three years as one of the country's most hilariously astute political and social comedians. His unique approach to political comedy, mixing it up with pop culture, has also made him one of the country's most popular live performers.

As well as garnering a nomination for the prestigious Perrier Best Newcomer Award at the 1999 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Wil has appeared on the Super Debates series and Melbourne Comedy Festival Gala for Channel 9, continued his regular appearances on Good News Week (Network 10) and wrote a weekly column in The Australian in 1998 and 1999.

He can be heard four days a week on Triple J, co-hosting breakfast with Adam Spencer.

Most recently, he had a go at Real Acting in A Midsummer Night's Dream in the Botanic Gardens, and is recovering from yet another Adelaide Fringe with his 1999 Melbourne Fringe show, Terra Wilius.
