Polish Mafia

The Polish Mafia was the idea of John and Scott. The idea came to the two while sitting in Geometry class at Kewaunee High School in 1996. John bought a guitar and began to take lessons. Scott already had a drumset and was ready to go. Orignally, the band was to play ska, but that failed when the orignal bass player never got into the idea. So Caleb put down his saxaphone and picked up the bass.

During the summer of 1997, the three were begining to write and make their own music. In November of 1997 the Mafia played their first show in their hometown of Kewaunee to about a crowd of 80 close friends. This was the first time people heard the band play live. People were impressed and kept supporting the band. The band fed of the support and has been improving ever since.

The Polish Mafia has kind of their own style of writing and playing. The band's roots are in punk rock and they have sometimes been compared to the Angry Samoans and the Dead Milkmen. If you're wondering what kind of sound these boys have you'll have to check them out. (Coming to a town near you!)
