DAY SEVEN: * unsuccesfully attempt to fit luggage into the smaller (cheaper) train station coin locker * time & $$ wasted calling back to DBS * Ryuzu-no-taki: start of Shobugahama-Senjugahama-Lake Sainoko hike * delays due to fresh rockfalls along Shobugahama to Senjugahama leg * detour due to bridge swept away by flood, Senjugahama to suspension bridge leg * Akanuma junction * Kegon-no-taki: finally visible * Hippari Dako * 17:00 train from Nikko to Asakusa, Tokyo *

DAY EIGHT: * Keisei train to Narita Airport * last ditch hunt for black fan * hunt for green tea cake & hiyoko * Narita to Singapore via KLIA *

	view of Nikko from room 208: cut across the school sports grounds (midground) to cross the river & walk through backlanes to get to/from the nearest bus stop		west wing of Nikko-shi Koryu Sokushin Center, wonderful place to stay but a long slog uphill
	Nantai-san volcano & Lake Chuzenji-ko, Nikko National Park		Lake Chuzenji-ko from Senjugahama beach, midpoint of Shobugahama to Lake Sainoko hike: plenty of fresh deer poop around here but no sign of deer in daytime (3rd & last hike of the trip!!)
	100m plunge of Kegon-no-taki falls, fenced up to prevent it from becoming a national suicide spot, Chuzenji Onsen, Nikko National Park		Tochigi Prefecture: on the Tobu train from Nikko to Tokyo
	view of Minami-senju, e neighbourhood where I stayed in Taito-ku, Tokyo; it had a working class feel but by e end of my stay it felt like home		last look at Minami-senju from e subway station before catching e subway to Ueno to transfer to an airport-bound Keisei train
