Here is a list of Björk albums...There may be more out there, in fact I'm sure there are more imports, live recordings, and bootlegs out there, but these are the ones I have. Also I may be adding those from the Sugarcubes and K.U.K.L. at a later date 8)
I found this one at a little record store in Cincinnati, Ohio. Shelled out $25 for it, but to me it's worth much more. Björk was only 12 years old when she recorded this, her first album. Most of it is made up of popular songs by other artists, sung by Björk, but there is one song on the album she wrote herself. It is entirely in Icelandic, the music is sort of disco-like, folk type stuff, and her voice sounds incredibly cute. A star is born...
1. Arabadrengurinn
2. Búkolla
3. Alta Mira

kukl, one of Björk's earlier bands put out a couple of albums in the 80's and this is the only one I own. It's a great blend of emotions, crashes, shouting, and strange noises :) Along with Einar Orn (also from the Sugarcubes) and others, Björk pours out gushing vocals and crushing beats that hit like a ton of 'car parts, bottles, and cutlery'. A show covering the band was airing in Europe, and some old woman had a heart attack after seeing Björk prancing about with a naked very pregnant stomach. Now that's music!
1. Outward Flight (Psalm 323)
2. France (A Mutual Thrill)
3. Gibraltar (Copy Thy Neighbour)
4. Greece (Just by the Book)
5. England (Zro)
6. Holland (Latent)
7. Aegean (Vials of Wrath)
8. 4. The Homecoming (The Night)
This is Björk's first solo album after the breakup of The Sugarcubes. Probably her best-known song, "Human Behaviour" and the video to go along with it, caught the attention of many, including me...this is when my Björk "obsession" began. This album is filled with mainly love ballads, and hyper, dancey songs...beautiful and fun at the same time. In the words of Nellee Hooper, "I must have listened to each of these tracks more than 500 times since we started. Everything's long since finished but I'm still listening to these songs everyday. I'm wondering...will this ever stop???!! We are so lucky to have Björk's voice!!"--Couldn't have said it better myself...
1. Human Behaviour
2. Crying
3. Venus as a Boy
4. There's More to Life Than This (recorded live at the Milk Bar toilets)
5. Like Someone in Love
6. Big Time Sensuality
7. One Day
8. Aeroplane
9. Come to Me
10.Violently Happy
11.The Anchor Song
A swinging album indeed! Björk does jazz on this album, a partnership between herself and the Gudmundur Ingólfsson Trio. Almost all of the tracks are in her native Icelandic, but that doesn't mean you can't attempt to sing along to them, and believe me, it's tempting! Undeniably Björkish...delightfully happy...perfectly concocted.
1. Gling-gló (Tic Toc)
2. Luktar Gvendur (Gvendur the Lamplighter)
3. Kata Rokkar (Kata Rocks)

6. Ástartöfrar (Love-Magic)
7. Bella Símamær (Switchboard Bella)
8. Litli Tònlistarmadurinn (Little Musician)
9. Pad Sést Ekki Saetar Mey (There is No Sweeter Girl)
10.Bílavisur (Car-Rhymes)
11.Tondeleyo
12.Ég Veit el Hvad Skal Segja (I Don't Know What To Say)
13.Í Dansi Med Pér (To Dance With You)
14.Börnin Vid Tjörnina (The Children By the Pond)
15.Ruby Baby
16.I Can't Help Loving That Man
A totally uncatagorized album. Every song seems to be convincing you that there is really no end to Björk's talent. She can even dance! (check out the video for "It's Oh So Quiet" hehe). This album is a little more electronic...a little more of the infamous Björk screams n' growls as well hehe. It's a mixture of love ballads, break-up songs, and orgasmic melodious harmony and synchronisity. This is a definate "must-have"...
1. Army Of Me
2. Hyper-Ballad
3. The Modern Things
4. It's Oh So Quiet

9. I Miss You
10.Cover Me
11.Headphones
Whether you're already a huge Björk fan, or are just a fan of techno or music with lots of bass, go out and get this one if you haven't already. It's worth the money for the Björk photos inside. This album is mainly remixes of songs off of Post, but a new one as well (My Spine). These aren't your typical remixes either...most of them actually sound nothing like the original song because they've been remixed and remastered heavily and the bass definately stands out. This is probably the most surprising Björk album so far, and yet seems to be one that's not as heavily available...

11.I Miss You
Björk's next solo album, and to some, her greatest. I won't go so far as to choose favorites, but this album definately showcases her talent. It's a beautiful, emotion-filled extravaganza--unique orchestrations mixed with angelic vocals, and little mechanical noises. Love ballads abound as well as a couple great 'break-up' songs. I sit in my room a lot belting out these songs and I feel almost as if they are my own by now...strangely euphoric journey this one is...

10.All Is Full Of Love
A masterpiece and a chorusline of dreams...this album is full of songs that make you smile, and songs that make you cry. They tell the tale of a character who touches all of us in the movie ''Dancer in the Dark'' It is the soundtrack to this movie, in which Björk was voted Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival in 2000. The tracks are full of hope, as well as interesting 'sound effects' and various other ear candy. A very classical work, it's similar to ''It's Oh So Quiet'' from the Post album. A definate must-have for Björk fans and musical lovers alike.

Awakening senses previously undiscovered, this album dances upon your eardrums like a snowflake in the wind. Songs of happiness that breathe hope into the sullen--whispering whirs tell tales of discovery. I guarantee it will speak to your heart. Unlike any previous albums (which is always the case), yet definately holds the sparkling glimmer which only Björk can provide.

The long anticipated collection of a musical history of the greatest artist of my generation. This deliciously packaged collection (including my first mini-discs!) brings you on a journey through Björk's life thus far using her own music. A little bit of past, a little bit of present, and a hint at the marvelous future to come is all there in the palm of your hand, waiting to be discovered. Turn off the lights, cuddle up in a blanket, wiggle back and forth and smile. This is an experience I would like to give to everyone (well at least those that deserve it). Dive in and explore the many folds within this pink package ; )

12. It's Not Up To You
This is a conceptual album of sorts. It is made up entirely of human noises (voices, clicks, beatbox, etc.) and Björk is the first artist, I believe, to take this concept to the next level. Starring a wide variety of musicians from around the world--such as Rahzel from the Roots, Mike Patton of Faith No More and Mr. Bungle, Inuit throat singers, an Icelandic choir, and a Japanese beatboxer--this album took a huge risk, and definately lived up to my expectations of it. If you're thinking that an album with no instruments must be boring and simple, think again. Medulla is anything but.
