She is trying to save us all,
She does us no disservice,
We take her hand to pull her down,
As she tries to preserve us,
We're not sure what to do with her,
We're forming a committee,
We'll take her love and take her strength,
But we don't want her pity,
We hate her for her charity,
That she was there when we were weak,
We ask her to defend herself,
Then charge her not to speak,
She gives herself so freely,
But still we try to take her,
Killing Mother Nature,
Acre by aching acre,
Tearing down her forests,
We need to make some room,
Undeveloped, fetal minds,
Lashing out against the womb,
She gave us all she had
And asked for nothing in return,
We use her trees to set the spark,
And watch her graceful grasslands burn,
She gave us rain and gave us sun
And gave us lives worth living,
And we condemn her every day,
For her senseless acts of giving,
We thrive in the warmth of her caress,
In her benevolent smile,
As we murder Mother Nature,
Mile by bleeding mile.
