A large rather rotund cat, he is often mistaken for a dog and thrown into the dog pound alongside Ren. He is seemingly the duo's better half. Stimpy demonstrates better hygiene and a good sense of moral values. He longs for a happy, happy, joy, joy life and has only experienced heartbreak and depression once when his flatulent son ran away in "Son of Stimpy."

His conscience is a jolly, fat fellow named Jiminy Lummox, who keeps him, and sometimes Ren too, in line. He shares a love of the cereal, Powdered Toast, with Ren and loves Muddy Mudskipper.

Despite all the abuse that he is given, Stimpy remains Ren's loyal best friend and side kick, all the while enjoying his collection of boogers underneath the chair.

Stimpson J. Cat, fondly known as "Stimpy," is not what you'd call a clever cat. He's incredibly fat, has no tail, and is obsessed with kitty litter. He's also a bit of a crybaby and, let's face it, he smells. On the other hand, Stimpy's a devoted and forgiving feline friend. He's always there when Ren needs him. Or when Ren needs to hit him. Or when Ren needs to use him to make money. Still, Stimpy's always cheerful. His motto, "Happy happy, joy joy," says it all.
