Mel C Finally Leaves Home
Sporty Spice Mel C has reportedly splashed out £200,000 on a waterfront apartment, ending 24 years of living with her mum. The mega star, worth millions of pounds, was still in a bedroom at mother Joan O'Neill's luxury home in Widnes, Cheshire - which Sporty bought after shooting to fame - before deciding to finally fly the nest.
But Mel C, famous for her track suit and love of football, has moved only 15 miles down the road, to Liverpool's trendy Albert Dock, a mix of up-market shops, bars, flats and the Tate Gallery of the north.

Sporty Spice Mel C Duets With Bryan Adams
Sporty Spice Melanie Chisholm has recorded a duet with Canadian pop-rocker Bryan Adams for a new Adams album due out in late October.
Chisholm's participation was confirmed by a spokesperson at Adams' management agency in Vancouver. The song is called "When You're Gone." Producer Bob Rock was scheduled to finish mixing the CD at Adams' Vancouver studio this past weekend.
The two reportedly first met at an airport. Later, when Adams was looking for a vocalist to record a track on his forthcoming album, "On A Day Like Today," he gave her a call. This is Mel C's second Canadian-related duet. In late July she flew to Montreal for the opening of a Planet Hollywood restaurant and sang "Down In Hollywood" with movie star cafe owner Bruce Willis.
Meanwhile Scary Spice Mel G, the former Mel B, is seeing her duet with Missy Elliott for the soundtrack to "Why Do Fools Fall In Love" topping the charts.
Even Emma has gotten the duet bug. She performed a song with Rod Stewart on the British TV show "An Audience With..." which aired on the ITV network this past summer.

Melanie B, the artist sometimes still known as Scary Spice, has become
the
first of the Spice Girls to have a solo hit. Her R&B cut recorded with

diva Missy Misdemeanor Elliot soared into the UK charts this week at
number
one. The song, I Want You Back, managed to dislodge the new Robbiw

** McCartney's 'Hey Jude' notebook fetches $167,000
LONDON (Reuters) - A notebook with Paul McCartney's hand written lyrics for one of the Beatles' greatest hits, "Hey Jude," fetched 100,000 pounds (US$167,000) at a London auction Tuesday. The notebook, prize lot in a sale of pop memorabilia spanning the Beatles to the Spice Girls, was snapped up by a businessman bidding by telephone from Lancashire, northern England, a spokeswoman for auctioneers Sotheby's said. Alan Murphy bought the notebook for his daughter Nadina, who plays a character called Jude in a British TV soap opera. Sotheby's had earlier described the notebook as "one of the most important pieces of Beatles memorabilia ever to come on to the market."

Spice Wedding: Mel B Gets Hitched
From MTV news
Spice Girl Mel Brown did indeed marry Dutch dancer Jimmy Gulzar on Sunday. Scary had previously denied rumors that the event would take place this past weekend, although suspicions remained when workers at her home began building various party facilities, and told press they'd been invited to the Sunday afternoon wedding.
The 3:30 p.m. ceremony took place in a 12th century church adjacent to Brown's 16th century estate in Little Marlow, Buckinghamshire. The pregnant Brown wore a unique white satin gown and was given away by her father, according to the "London Daily Mirror." The estimated 150 white-clad guests included mostly family and friends with few celebrities in attendance apart from the girls themselves.
Although Posh Victoria Adams, Baby Emma Bunting, and Sporty Melanie Chisholm were on hand (as regular guests, there were no bridesmaids), Geri Halliwell did not attend although she had flown from the States to London a day or so earlier. The former Ginger told press at the airport that she hadn't received an invite.
The "Mirror" also reports that the Spice Girls, sans the equally pregnant Adams, were front and center at an apparent pre-wedding party at a local luxury hotel following the Spice Girls appearance at Don Valley Stadium in Sheffield on Friday. The girls performed at that venue on Saturday. The group play two more shows at London's Wembley Stadium next week before taking a break, when presumably a honeymoon may be in the works.
