Reggae Riddims of Kojo

Welcome to our home page.

Kojo was one of the first Caribbean bands formed in Wisconsin. With its members hailing from various countries and ethnic backgrounds, Kojo has blended a variety of musical styles to form its own sound.

Members were born in such countries as St. Lucia, Jamaica and the United States, which helps to create a unique musical diversity within the group. Various members have a respected resume which includes performing with such big name acts as: the Police, U2, Joan Jett, the Romantics and the Wailers. Members Selo Jules, rhythm guitar and vocals, born in St. Lucia; Terry Tanger, lead guitar and vocals, born in Milwaukee; Guy White, bass and vocals, born in Jamaica; Keith Green, drums and vocals, born in Milwaukee; Lucile WJ, keyboards and vocals, born in St. Lucia.

With a balance of reggae, soca, calypso, ska, dancehall, french cadass, dub, as well as originals. Kojo creates a party atmosphere in which audience participation is the norm.

With such a lofty reputation, Kojo has packed many of the Midwest's largest clubs in Milwaukee, Chicago, Madison and Minneapolis. In their hometown they have played all the popular festivals including Summerfest, Bastille Days, Lakefront Festival of the Arts, Rainbow Summer and Harborfest. It has also been Kojo's privilege to open for major reggae acts.
Kojo has recently recorded and released a CD Can't stop the Rain.
