Karen is on the roof of the hospital alone, watching the fireworks, when Joe, Matt, and Frank come up.

Joe: (points to the sky at the fireworks, then looks at Karen) What’s wrong?

Karen: Nothing. Scott’s moving back to Canada.

J: I’m sorry.

K: It’s okay. I was getting so used to having him here, you know. And now…now I’m all alone again.

J: You are NOT alone. (puts his arms around her and they watch the fireworks)
