Why do I wonder if you're there?
Why do I think you'd even care?
Why do I doubt and question you?
Why do I feel that nothing is true?
Why can't I put all my faith in you?
Why can't I trust all the things that you do?
Why can't I see that you're always there?
Why can't I grasp that you'll always care?
Why do you seem so far from reach?
Why can't I accept all the things that you teach?
Why do I stray from the path that is there?
Why can't I figure out that you'll always care?
Why, when I know your Son came and died
Why, then can't I keep that image inside?
Why, when the world questions my faith
Why, then can't I say that in Your I am safe?
I know You are my Lord, and love me from on high
But here on Earth it feels your love passes by
Please help me to trust, understand and see
That You are the Way, the Truth and the Life, and you are in me.
