I Reach to You O Lord

This (along with "Pardon Me", "Moment of Your Time", and "You Still Love Me") were written at Chicago Congress 2001. Some of them were written at about 4-5am....others, during the dance. They are a series of poems I feel all lead into one another...kinda the whole doubting, questioning, wondering, coming full circle to realization, acceptance, peace and love. =)

My heart reaches out to You, O Lord
My savior on high
I strive to feel Your awesome love
I try and try and try

I know it's not up to me
Everything will happen in Your time
Show me Your Grace and Love O Lord
Let me take these dreams and make them mine.

As the darkness closes in
I close my eyes and begin to pray
As I feel Your love start to flow
So won't You come inside, and never go away

Next time I will say
I choose to love for always
With You always in my heart
To be in love with You O Lord
And to know we'll never part
