The Children's Cry
Written June 4, 1994
Verse 1: People say to love one another
Love each other like sister and brother
Why is it some people just can't see
That there is no differance between you and me?
Refrain: Sure on the outside we don't look the same
But all our hearts burn with the same bright flame
And if that flame should ever go out
Well you better stand back and you'd better watch out
Verse 2: All the religious and other wars
Close chances of peace and other doors
Why is it that they just can't see
That everyone has the right to be free...(refrain)
Verse 3: All of the people in the world should know
To put differances aside and let peace grow
There are lots of things we can do
To Bridge the Gap between me and you
Middle: When peace has come and war is dead
There'll be no need to hang your head
And then our world will be a better place
For everyone of every race
Verse 4: Why is it some people just can't see
That everyone has the right to be free
And when you hear the Children's Cry
You know peace must live and war must die
And when you hear the Children's Cry
You know peace must live
You know peace must live and war must die
