Acceptance

Written at Minneapolis Congress 2000 -- it's kind of a social commentary.

Accept me for who I am
I'm not gonna change for you
My style, my looks my tastes are who I am
If you love me, you'll approve

I don't need to justify myself to you
Yet you always need to question
You need to accept that I won't change for you
Will you let me make one suggestion

I'm not a copy of you, not will I ever be
I am accepting of you style
So why can't you be for me
I think we need to talk about this for a while.
